Yura’s PURIFICATION! Chihiro’s 200 IQ PLAN! Kagurabachi Chapter 103 Spoilers!

In the previous Kagurabachi chapter, the battle against Yura has begun, with Chihiro

Kagurabachi Chapter 103 is titled, “Restoration”

This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter begins where we left off, with Yura blocking Chihiro’s Suzaku-empowered strike with the sheathed Magatsumi.

Yura remarks that Chihiro is too rash for declaring this is the end since they are just getting started.

Chihiro activates Kuro but Yura gets ahead of him and activates Dragonfly but Samura catches Chihiro and teleports both himself and Chihiro with Crow to an empty office building.

Samura thinks about how Yura is not a Lifelong Contractor and since he is not the Sword Saint, he is an easier target and ending him will solve the situation.

They can just seal the Shinuchi and Sword Saint away again like always.

Yura attacks again, with Chihiro remarking on the former’s strength.

Samura appears from behind but Yura crouches and slides through to parry Samura’s attack.

Chihiro also notes Yura’s insanely fast reaction time, something he had shown even in the previous Rakuzaichi Arc where Chihiro first met Yura but when empowered with Magatsumi, this is a whole other level by comparison.

Chihiro also sees Yura’s fast healing ability, which stems form Magatsumi’s true power, the ability to interfere with life.

Magatsumi steals life energy from others and gives it to its host, which means that the Enchanted Blade can heal wounds and even numb pain, which is why Yura is unimpeded in spite sustaining heavy injuries in his fights against two expert swordsmen (Uruha, Natsuki), the physical strength monster Azami and now against two Enchanted Blade users.

Both Chihiro and Samura wonder how much Yura is actually able to draw out the Shinuchi’s power, thinking of Chihiro’s fight against Kyora, who also borrowed Magatsumi’s power.

Samura worries that if they keep fighting, more and more people will be in danger and Shiba is far too busy rescuing civilians.

Samura tells Chihiro to clean up this mess fast and finish Yura off.

Yura activates Spider, which releases a gigantic spiderweb that aims to freeze the movements of the enemy.

However, Chihiro and Samura were coated in the universal flames of mercy, Suzaku, which nullifies the effect in one second, treating the “stealing” power of Magatsumi as an outside effect to be countered.

But for Yura, one second is plenty of time, almost like he was listening to the narrator.

Did he just break the fourth wall?

Yura attacks with the sword handle and activates Dragonfly to send Samura through a lot of buildings and he ends up with Yura within a train.

From behind, Samura sees civilians about to board and Shiba is on the next car, telling Samura he was able to empty the next train car.

Samura activates Crow to summon a cloud of feathers.

The narration reveals this is the True Realm of Samura’s Tobimune: compassion towards all things.

This is the Extension of Crow, which extends the effect of Tobimune’s powers outside the self, resulting in Crow teleporting the entire train away.

We face an exciting battle in the sky as the train is now falling down from a high point, preventing Yura from touching the ground.

Chihiro comes from behind Yura, saying that he will teach the man that the Enchanted Blades were meant to defend the people of Japan.

Chihiro remarks that the aerial ring (the train) Shiba provided them will not go to waste.

Yura activates Centipede and Chihiro risks his body to thrust Yura with full force in spite of the unpredictable projectiles of Centipede.

Yura thinks Chihiro’s gamble failed but Chihiro proclaims this is where the real gamble begins as he asks Samura to give him the Suzaku flames.

The flames spread even to Yura himself as we learn that Suzaku’s true power is “restoration” and it does not just apply strictly to injuries but also sensed abnormality affecting the body. 

Yura’s Magatsumi powers never belonged to him, therefore this “enchantment”, as something applied from elsewhere, will be treated like a disease or injury to be erased and “restore” Yura to his original form.

Chihiro has found his solution: rather than use Suzaku’s raw power to break the Enchanted Blade Magatsumi, he will burn Yura with purifying flames to purge him of the power and render him unable to fight.
