The Four Emperors, Davy D. Xebec, Gol D. Roger and Garp join forces but not even all of the strongest are enough to stop Imu!
In the previous One Piece chapter, Rocks, Whitebeard and Kaido face off against Imu, who possesses Jaygarcia Saturn on God Valley.
One Piece Chapter 1163 is titled, “Promise”
The color page features Luffy doing parkour with some monkeys.
A reminder of Luffy’s name and origin tied to the Monkey King Sun Wukong from Journey to the West like Dragon Ball’s Son Goku.
The chapter shows Imu calling Rocks “Davy Jones” but Rocks says that he is not that guy, his ancestor, showing once again his immense respect for his ancestor.
However, Imu does say that “what was promised must be fulfilled.”
What could this promise be?
Big Mom joins the Rocks Pirates trio, now completing the original Three Emperors.
This is in spite of Kaido betraying his sister figure to acquire a Devil Fruit.
They attack together but the scene shifts to the Roger Pirates fighting the Rocks Pirates.
However, we also see in-fighting among the Rocks Pirates as Captain John faces off against his own crewmate Ganzui.
Is this how John separates to become his own captain?
And will we finally learn if John used Kid’s Devil Fruit here?
Later, we also see Garp and Roger join forces against Imu.
Xebec and his top three all attack together.
And we see a historic double-page spread with Rocks, Roger, Garp, Whitebeard, Kaido, and Big Mom attacking Imu all at once.
Indeed, the insurmountable power of Imu is enough to unite everyone.
But even after that massive attack, Imu recovers and the chapter ends with Imu using Domi Reversi to turn Rocks into a demon and orders him to, yes as expected, kill his family.
Doubling down the trauma young Teach is about to experience as this is likely how he loses both his parents.
