THE RETURN OF RIKA!!! Tsurugi-Rika FUSION! Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 17 Spoilers!
Just like Mahoraga, Rika makes her inevitable return, with the Heavenly-Restricted Tsurugi fusing with the Queen of Curses.
In the previous Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter, while Dabura fights off Mahoraga in an epic clash, Maru overwhelms Tsurugi with Chaos and Harmony.
This chapter has 20 pages, including the color page.

The page features Dabura and Mahoraga facing off in color.
Once again, this is proof that Yuji Iwasaki accepted the project for the sake of drawing Mahoraga.
The chapter begins with a flashback of Tsurugi reading some records.
Tsurugi speaks the same lines as Megumi, about his father disappearing and him not caring about who he was as a person yet somehow choosing to disappear when Yuka was born.
The start of the chapter is connected to the mystery of why Iori left when Yuka was born in the extra pages of Volume 1 and it seems we already have an answer.
Iori refused to raise her daughter as a weapon and seemed to be trying to break a cycle.
However, this is the same act that Toji did on his own son, who did inherit the Ten Shadows Technique of the Zenin Clan like Yuka did.
A maid sees someone turn back toward a man with a scarred face who boldly flicked back his hood, and it is unclear what happened between them aside from the strange phrase, “it doesn’t matter.”
This man is clearly Yuji Itadori.
Transition into the battle between Tsurugi and Maru.
Tsurugi admits that he barely understands how Maru’s technique works, seemingly hinting at how dumb he is compared to Yuka.
Maru says that victory is almost here, but Tsurugi refuses, deciding to bet everything on a tiny but existing chance to save Yuka, even if it is only 1%.
Tsurugi says that a glorious death would be nice, but he cannot accept the idea of something happening to Yuka.
To Tsurugi, her life matters more to him than his own.
Next, Tsurugi, half-dead, thinks the person before him is his grandfather, Yuta, but then a voice says, “He really fell for that woman (Yuta and Maki),” full of irritation and sarcastic remarks.
We finally see Rika.
Another legendary shikigami returns after 68 years!
She help is offered reluctantly and only because it’s Yuta’s request, and only after the word “I ACCEPT!” is spoken.
Maru is shocked by the sheer amount of cursed energy and by its very nature.
Rika envelops Tsurugi’s body, taking form around him.
As this happens, the two bicker with each other.
While Tsurugi appreciates Rika’s help, he wishes the Shikigami does not talk freely while Rika will tell Yuta in Heaven about how disrecpectful Tsurugi is.
This leads to Tsurugi questioning if Rika is the type that can go to Heaven, making her mad.

Apparently, there is another break the week after this chapter’s official release on January 5th.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 18 will be released on January 19, 2025.
