Four Knights of the Apocalypse © 2021 by Nakaba Suzuki/Kodansha

In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, we see the flashback of how Lancelot and Jericho found themselves lost in a different dimension where they meet the Lady of the Lake.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 210 is titled, “The Princess and the Boy”

This chapter has 22 pages.

The color spread features the Four Knights themselves.

The Lady of the Lake introduces herself to Jericho and young Lancelot as the Princess of the Lake, which is what people call her but she is actually a being born from Chaos.

But before the Lady could come closer out of her interest for Lance, a large knight comes forward, asking what the duo are doing here.

Suddenly, he attacks the pair, saying that the lake is exclusively his and unleashes “Spirit Squall”, a long-ranged attack of many projectiles.

Jericho counters with “Blizzard Axel”, creating a freezing tornado that throws the knight away and causes him to drown in the lake while maddeningly saying that the water is his.

Jericho checks up on Lancelot, whose clothes are damaged but he assures his master that he is just like the old Ban, who barely needed clothes.

A rather…(un)fitting reminder for how Jericho first met Ban, her still frustrated crush that is now happy with another woman.

Jericho and Lancelot theorize that the knight killed his own group based on all the blood on his armor.

The knight has been driven mad from drinking from the lake water.

Is it possible that Jericho was also driven mad by the lake water as well to have feelings for a minor?

Or perhaps this line from kid Lance, among a few others, might have stirred ill feelings.

Jericho also notes other weird things, such as how the Lady of the Lake just vanished after the knight arrived, the way the water revitalizes one’s soul with one drink and also how Jericho herself could not hold back using her Magic.

So she tells Lancelot to avoid drinking the water.

Except immediately, she breaks her own advice.

Day 116.

Lancelot tries to stop her but Jericho pushes him back, saying that she will sacrifice her sanity just to get stronger and protect Lancelot but even one sip is enough to make Jericho look insane.

However, Jericho breaks down in tears, apologizing for laying a hand on him.

After letting Jericho rest, Lancelot trains to be strong enough to protect Jericho, to return home to his mother and be as strong as his father.

Suddenly, Jericho is dragged into the lake by a bubble of water produced by the Lady of the Lake, who is impressed that Jericho was able to withstand the water for so long.

Lancelot asks what the water actually is.

The Lady reveals that the Lake does not actually make anyone immortal as they will die after succumbing to its pressure even after a long life.

As it turns out, this is the water of Lake Salisbury, the lake containing an infinite amount of magical power.

This is the same lake that the Seven Deadly Sins have fought in and used in the final battle against the Demon King and was also the place where the Lady revealed herself to Merlin and the Sins as she revealed Merlin’s allegiance to Chaos.

However, this Lake is not even water at all but an infinite reservoir of magical energy made by Chaos.

Lancelot concludes that the Lady is abducting people throughout Britannia but she insists on not being treated like a villain, that she did no wrong and deserves pity, not hate.

Instead, she blames humans for being too weak to withstand the Lake’s magic, for drinking it and dying from its effect.

We see the Lady reveal her true form, lower half attached to an Eldritch horror akin to every monster made by Chaos.

The Lady is curious about how Lancelot managed to retain his wits after drinking so much of the water.

The Lady looks back to her past, about being alone due to her existence being attached to the Lake.

As it turns out, the Lady and the Lake are essentially one, so when she enters someone via drinking the water, they lack the ability to hold her spirit and thus they lose their minds.

This has some…nasty implications, meaning that the Lady wants to possess Lance’s body as a means to gain his love.

Yes and to remind you, Lancelot was 10 years old here.
