The End of One Piece’s Longest Flashback Ever! One Piece Chapter 1171 Hints!
After over 6 months, the protagonist Monkey D. Luffy returns to the main story of One Piece!
In the previous One Piece chapter, Loki tearfully ends his father’s torment after reclaiming the Legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaph.
One Piece Chapter 1171 will complete the longest flashback in One Piece history.
The Harald-Loki-Rocks Flashback Is Over!
We return to Loki finishing his 3-minute story that is actually 18 chapters of content.
For context, most One Piece chapters are 15-17 pages long and each page is dense in events, with more than 4-8 panels of an event happening and even a spread can have multiple conversations within the same larger panel, which is one of Oda’s impressive marks as a mangaka.
Each chapter could take 5 to 10 minutes of reading, so even in the very chapter the story starts, it was not three minutes.
This means either Oda is lying or that Hajrudin allowed Loki to keep going with his explanation because he was slowly being convinced.
The story begins and ends in the same place: the day of Harald’s death and for most of the time Loki is narrating in the present day, he is mostly talking about events only Harald would witness and know about.
Perhaps the chapter will comment on this length of time.
The Return of Luffy
Finally, after 6 months (Chapter 1152: “A Horrible Day” was released officially on June 30, 2025), we get to reunite with Luffy and the Straw Hats in the Underworld.
This is mostly a dialogue-heavy chapter as Loki explains why he took the blame on himself.
The last two pages are a full spread of the Sun Realm as Luffy’s group prepares to face off against Imu.
Unfortunately, we are stuck by yet another drought of One Piece content.
There will be a Sudden BREAK NEXT WEEK.
One Piece Chapter 1172 will be released on February 2, 2026.
