Takamura FINALLY DIES! Sakamoto Days Chapter 245 Spoilers!
The signal to the final battle of the series! Uzuki is purged of his STRONGEST personality! But what will he become after that point?
In the previous Sakamoto Days chapter, Sakamoto arrives to save Akira from certain death.
Is this the final battle of the series?
Days 245 is titled, “Evolution”
This chapter has 20 pages, including the color page.
Editor’s note: “Finally, confronting fate…”
The color page features Shin and Sakamoto on a kotatsu table, with Nagumo lying down to enjoy the heat while “Murder Films” (Kanaguri’s studio) is featured on the TV, likely the livestream fight between Uzuki and Akira.
The chapter begins with Kanaguri checking his camera, angry that Sakamoto put an ad in the middle of his movie.
Sakamoto praises Akira for her effort and then asks Kanaguri to treat her injuries but Kanaguri refuses to help, saying that Sakamoto ruined his perfect scenario for filming, having worked hard all day to prepare.
Furthermore, the lead star Akira is in no condition to continue the film.
Sakamoto suggests that Kanaguri film him in exchange for treating Akira’s wounds and ensure she does not die.
However, Kanaguri does not accept the notion of Sakamoto being a lead actor due to being a “fat guy who looks like a trash bag” and asks if Sakamoto can even play as a protagonist,, to which Sakamoto says that he can.
Sakamoto declares that all he will do is just blow enemies away as he blocks Uzuki’s blow.
Kanaguri sees his audience faltering.
Sakamoto throws Uzuki off the building and Uzuki lands on a car.
Sakamoto says that he is not here to confront Takamura-Uzuki, so he calls for the original Uzuki, who is inside the mind, cowering and hiding away.
Takamura-Uzuki slashes a building.
Seeing that the real Uzuki will not come out, Sakamoto will force him into submission, leading to him charging Uzuki and eventually entering an amusement park while a couple thinks the amusement park is peaceful and that there will be no thugs around.
As both men ride on panda cars, Sakamoto wonders how he will erase the Takamura personality, recalling Rion’s words in Chapter 240: “Fly” about the Rion and Takamura personalities being a fantasy of Uzuki’s creation.
Since encountering Takamura was engraved into Uzuki’s brain, Sakamoto sees a way to exorcise that personality by luring him to a mirror exhibit.
The couple from earlier panic at the sight of the two men fighting.
Eventually, Uzuki is left alone among many mirrors and he spots Takamura’s reflection among the mirrors, leading him to panic and cut down the mirrors, except Uzuki witnesses him cutting down the Takamura personality.
A personality formed after seeing his comrades taken down in Chapter 167: “Peering into the Abyss”, Takamura-Uzuki killed the real one and that traumatic event allowed Takamura to live on as a personality in Uzuki’s mind.
In essence, by killing Takamura…as Takamura, Uzuki effectively removed the “spirit” or personality conjured by his Dissociative Personality Disorder.
We see that personality, sitting as one of Uzuki’s pillars, cut down the same way.
Can Sakamoto replicate the same result for the Rion personality?
A personality born from killing her?
Sakamoto Days Chapter 246 will be released on February 6, 2026.
