Editor’s note: “Shin vs Tanabata!! What will be the outcome of this deadly battle…!?”

The chapter begins with Shin being knocked back but also noticing Tanabata wavering.

Yet Tanabata seems inspired by his injury and plays a new song that causes a massive shockwave on the streets that throws multiple trucks away and Shin is knocked back.

And it so happens that Shin crashes in the middle of a rock concert.

Here, the band encourages the people with their music in spite of the chaos caused by the JAA.

Shin and Tanabata take their fight to the stage, pulling a cord to make Tanabata slip.

Shin then grabs a guitarist’s instrument to slam it against Tanabata’s guitar, breaking it.

With the crowd confused by the situation, the band complains but Tanabata smacks the guitarist, finding him noisy and focusing on Shin charging towards him.

Tanabata remarks that he has been in a slump for so long, but fighting Shin has enabled him to find new phrases and to enter the Zone.

Tanabata plays, causing the audience’s ears to bleed and the stage to break apart.

The backstage film crew worries about the safety of the audience but another says to keep going because the live show is about to be trendy.

Riding on a crane, the film crew slams towards Tanabata, causing him to crash into the backstage area.

Here, Tanabata plays a rock tune, stating that no one can kill Rock ‘n’ Roll.

To counter this, Shin uses his Mind Jacking to reach to the crowd, which nullifies Tanabata’s sound in the physical world since no one is able to hear him.

While Tanabata’s sound and mentality disrupt Shin’s mind-reading, Shin’s mind control can allow Shin to communicate with the audience, which in turn diverts Tanabata’s power away from the vulnerable crowd and thus shuts him down.

Tanabata finds himself in an empty space even though he is in front of a live audience yet that audience can no longer hear him, not because of the damage to their eardrums but because of Shin.

This gives Shin the opening he needed, breaking his limiter and finally splitting Tanabata’s guitar in half, punching through the man, causing him to be knocked out.

Tanabata refuses to admit defeat, saying the encore is not yet done, but in the end, he lies down.

All the while Shin thanks the crowd.
