PONYTAIL SHISHIBA ENDS Gozu! Sakamoto Days Chapter 254 Spoilers!
In one of the best-drawn fights in Sakamoto Days, Shishiba takes Gozu on in an old castle, where he finishes off the Thunder God.
In the previous Sakamoto Days chapter, Shishiba outpaces Gozu in spite of his electrical state.
Days 254 is titled, “Verdict”
This chapter has 19 pages.
The chapter begins with a news reporter talking about a power outage all around Tokyo, while citizens see their wifi is not on and that the only lights in the city are in an old castle.
The clash between Shishiba and Gozu leads to one of the best spreads in Sakamoto Days.
Suzuki implements great lighting as we see their shadows on the wall and on the panel below, we see the window grills cutting up their faces like manga panels do, as if they are confined to this castle, to this manga.
After breaking into the castle, Shishiba sees his hair frizz up due to the static electricity from Gozu and so ties his hair back on a ponytail.
They head up to the rooftop of another fortification and Gozu destroys Shishiba’s hammer, leaving only the handle, and then kick Shishiba back to the castle.
Suddenly, Shishiba plants the handle on a Shachihoko sea monster statue, creating a makeshift hammer that plunges Gozu inside the castle armory.
Gozu explains why he was willing to sacrifice his lifespan for a fight with Shishiba, saying that if X’s Organization wins the war, Gozu will never get the chance to fight another monster like Shishiba, so he holds nothing back.
But then he prematurely declares victory and as he delivers his lethal blow…
Shishiba brings out a sword, which channels the electricty into the ground.
Declaring Yotsumura’s teachings, that emotions dull the blade, Shishiba stabs Gozu in the chest, declaring that the real battle is about protecting each other without holding back.
Sakamoto Days Chapter 255 will be released on April 13, 2026.
