Zoro’s New SIX PATHS Swordsmanship! One Piece Chapter 1173 Full Spoilers!

In the previous One Piece chapter, Brook has vanished, likely to face Gunko, and Zoro has a plan to stop the Domi Reversi Giants.

One Piece Chapter 1173 is titled, “A Generation of Warriors”

This chapter has 17 pages.

Zoro is Smarter Than We Realize

The chapter starts with Dorry, Brogy, and Domi Reversed Giants attacking the Western Village, aiming to kill Jarul.

While standing on Hajrudin, Zoro asks if he can cut down the Domi Reversi Giants, with Stansen and Hajrudin agreeing but that Zoro should at least let these fallen warriors maintain their pride.

Soon, Demon Dorry and Brogy spot Stansen and Hajrudin, mocking Hajrudin’s goal to unite all the Giants in the world and calling it an impossible dream.

Angered, Hajrudin and Stansen give their approval, so Zoro jumps from above so that he will not get flanked by giants and not be affected by Domi Reversi.

With the surprised Demon Giants crowing around Zoro, the latter jumps on their heads, leaps mid-air for his new technique, “Three Sword Style Secret Technique: Crossing of the Six Paths.”

Dorry and Brogy now come after Zoro but Zoro uses his swords to propel himself out of the way, which results in Dorry and Brogy slashing into one another. 

This scene calls back to their clashes in Little Garden, but here their attacks cut parts of their bodies.

Actually, Zoro’s plan is brilliant when we see the full context.

By having Dorry and Brogy attack each other, they are able to cancel each other out.

The Father-Killing Princess Shuri: Gunko’s Origins Revealed

We return to Brook, still tied up by Gunko’s Aro Aro no Mi and calls out to Gunko, finally recognizing who she is in his life:

Princess Shuri.

Brook is puzzled at first since Shuri would have been 80 years old if she were alive so Brook thinks Gunko is a relative due to the uncanny resemblance: blue hair, heterochromatic eyes, a connection to the Holy Land and her love for Brook’s music.

This confirms that Gunko is actually 80 years old, near the same age as Gaban and Rayleigh, who are both under 80 years old.

When Rocks D. Xebec attacked Pangaea Castle 56 years ago, this means she would have been around 24 years old.

Brook became a Pirate 52 years ago, during Rocks’ reign, so there is a lot of room for a relationship to form between Shuri, who was a child with a taller Brook in the Chapter 1149 flashback, and a living Brook.

Brook says that he wished he would never think about her, which is why he initially did not recognize Gunko in spite of their past closeness, on top of the 60-year gap since last seeing her.

The reason why Brook did not want to remember Gunko or Shuri is because she killed her father, the man Brook owed his entire life to, and so Brook hated her.d

We can see how Brook’s life went before becoming a Pirate.

Although he dreamed of being a Pirate, Brook was a loyal servant of the King.

This changed one day when Shuri killed her father and that was the event that separated Brook and Shuri.

If we follow the parallels, perhaps Shuri likely did this the same way Harald got killed by Loki

Since Shuri or her family have ties to the Holy Land, it is likely that she and her father are Manmeyers of a different branch, having led a kingdom separate from their kin since Gunko and the other Manmeyer in God Valley both have blue hair.

Not to mention how this blue hair is something Brook distinctly remembers.

Perhaps to regain their honor as Celestial Dragons and likely because Imu desired Gunko due to her resemblance to Nefertari D. Lili, the Holy Knights came to make Gunko a Holy Knight.

Then we get a haunting panel of Imu seizing control back from Gunko, offended that she is beginning to regain her memories.

Gunko calls out to Brook to run and she releases Brook and the Straw Hat from her Aro Aro no Mi restraints and disrupts the march of the Giant children.

At the same time, Sanji reaches Nami’s group after they were freed but Robin is unable to move because she’s still trapped by Sommers’ vines.

Our added spoilers point out that this could mean that Sanji’s opponent will be the sexist Holy Knight Shepherd Sommers.

Generations of Warriors

Despite losing the ant trail Gunko’s Arrow gave, the Giant kids are still near the one ship prepared for them.

Sommers sits on one of the kids’ heads, mocking Colon for trying to save the others and his pride in Elbaph.

The kids’ parents, Ripley (Colon’s mother, Gaban’s wife), and Oimo (Kashi’s partner from Enies Lobby, who is the grandfather of Olav) rush to their rescue but they are blocked by the MMA of Evil Nika, the God of Destruction.

The children tell their parents to run but Ripley’s group reminds them that they too were a generation of warriors, hence the chapter title.

The generation before the current one of Loki, Hajrudin and the New Giant Warrior Pirates represented by Ripley and the younger parents while Oimo, a grandfather, represented Dorry and Brogy’s time among the Giant Warrior Pirates over 150 years ago until a century ago.

They attack the gigantic MMA but it was too strong.

From afar, Gerd and Goldberg see the kids are still in danger and prepare to attack with their Two General Gokoku Sovereignty but Road steps in and together, they defeat the Evil Nika with Three General Gokoku Sovereignty, causing the giant Evil Nika MMA to crash on the ship and cause it to sink, much to Sommers’ horror.
