So Usopp’s Ragebait Will Save The World? One Piece Chapter 1178 Full Spoilers!

Can’t believe it is sinking in but Usopp’s ragebait actually brought Imu out and that’s the first key to their FINAL defeat in the Third World.

ABD x ONE PIECE © 1997 by Eiichiro Oda/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous One Piece chapter, Loki and Luffy finally reach Imu, beginning their fated battle.

One Piece Chapter 1178 is titled, “A Fading Nightmare”.

This chapter has 17 pages.

Reader request in the cover: “Bull charging at Kid for his cloak.” Kid is being chased by a giant bull.

This is similar to another request cover showing Roger being chased by a lion by Chapter 1027: “Danger Beyond Imagining”.

Editor’s note: “Luffy and Loki confront Gunko!!”

The chapter begins with Luffy dropping Usopp and Brook to the other Straw Hats.

Franky offers to help and while Luffy says that he appreciates it, he tells Franky Loki is quite destructive so better to not get in the way.

Speak for himself.

So between Luffy and Loki, Luffy is the voice of reason.

Loki’s Pirate Career

While Loki fights Imu-Gunko, the latter mentions that over 6 years ago, Loki was responsible for targeting World Government ships, his own Giant ship hidden in the fog.

Just like Harald’s reputation as the Florian Triangle monster in Chapter 1167: “Ida’s Sons”

And within this time period, Loki used his Nidhogg form and now Imu understands all these ties that they were not originally able to connect.

When Luffy gets close, Imu ejects their black essence out of Gunko as Imu activates the Diabolical Covenant: A Kowaru, in an attempt to turn the two into immortal demons.

Imu wishes Nidhogg and Nika were destroyed like Rocks was and the mere mention of Rocks surprises Loki.

This whole event had been set up because of the Rocks flashback.

However, when they are pierced, it does not work and Imu expects this.

Does this have to do with their specific Devil Fruits or them being Devil Fruit users in general?

Anyway, Loki shifts to his normal Ancient Giant size and tells Luffy to get out of the way just as Luffy is about to launch his Dawn Gatling.

Loki freezes Imu with Nibelheim, putting Imu in ice.

We see the two pant heavily.

Both God Fruits share the same stamina weakness as Luffy reverts to an old man and Loki is clearly exhausted.

Luffy asks Loki to bring food but Loki refuses and so Ragnir is the one to do it for them.

Missing Books?

The Elbaph Giants finally realize Loki did not kill his own father but that changes nothing about how the boy was always so destructive.

The chapter still ruminates on Chopper’s mysterious ability to easily heal the Domi Reversi Giants, leaving so much room for mystery.

Zoro thinks it is because Chopper is such a good doctor, which Chopper takes as a compliment of course.

While Zoro and the others have now normalized the Domi Reversi Giants situation, Robin and Saul find that the books in the Library are missing.

Did Biblio the Giant Owl take the books to the Heaven World, the world above all the worlds of Elbaph?

Will we finally figure out what exactly the Heaven World of Elbaph is?

The Price of Covenants?

We then see what happened to the Holy Knights.

Killingham is still a head grabbed by Franky, who remarks that regardless of them being Holy Knights, there were only three of them and pushing way over their strength in Elbaph of all places.

Killingham wonders what happened to his master.

However, Sommers is an interesting case as we see a black beating heart while his split head moves around and eventually pieces itself back together, meaning Sommers is on his way to being fully healed.

Is that black heart a price for the Covenants?

The literal heart is taken by Imu and replaced with one made of their essence?

While Luffy and Loki were resting, Imu’s shadow vanishes.

We have theorized that Imu’s Devil Fruit or power is a better version of the Kage Kage no Mi of Gecko Moria

Could this be why his presence in the Yamato Cover story is timed to Elbaph?

Within the Room of Flowers, Imu informs the Five Elders that he will momentarily vacate the Empty Throne.

For the first time in 800 years, the Empty Throne truly is empty.

There will be No Break Next Week
