How Garp STARTED THE REVOLUTIONARY ARMY! One Piece Chapter 1166 Early Spoilers!
Garp’s visit of Ace in his prison cell during the Paramount War really hits different after this chapter, does it?
In the previous One Piece chapter, Roger and Garp defeat Rocks D. Xebec with the critical mass of their combined Conqueror’s Haki, ending the God Valley Incident.
As the hints suggested, the cover page shows the Straw Hat Pirates just eating hot potatoes.
In One Piece Chapter 1166, we learn that it was Garling who landed the final blow on Rocks D. Xebec, thus killing the man for good.
While Garp and Roger did all the dirty work, reaching “critical mass” with their Advanced Conqueror’s Haki attacks, Garling, who only lost to Xebec twice on the same day, would land a cheap finishing blow.
In the end, with the two legends exhausted and Imu already far away, the Holy Knights of God did their dirty work of erasing history.
They had God Valley Island sunk down into the sea.
The world responds to the defeat of the Rocks Pirates.
In spite of everything, Loki still remembers the dream Xebec declared to him back in Chapter 1155: “The Rocks Pirates”, to be the King of the World.
Does his son, Marshall D. Teach, fight for the same dream?
We also see a scene where Roger finds Shanks in the treasure chest.
A crucial point here is what happened to Monkey D. Dragon.
Obviously, he landed himself in jail due to his insubordination.
However, Garp comes to visit him and frees him.
In spite of his constant complaints over his son becoming a Revolutionary, in a brilliant twist of fate, it is because of Garp helping his son Dragon escape that the Revolutionary Army fights the World Government to this very day.
It is sad that Garp did not do this to Ace years later, probably due to said regrets and how Dragon became hated by the world’s authorities and the Marines Garp considers family, as the World’s Worst Criminal.
At the end of the chapter, Harald breaks his horns after hearing the news of Xebec’s death.
The act of breaking his borns was not so much from him rejecting the violent history of the Elbaph Giants but out of a deep sense of shame, feeling responsible for the terrible fate of his friend.
Now we fully return to Elbaph and watch the events unfold that lead to Harald’s death 24 years after the death of his friend, Rocks D. Xebec.
