Oda Reveals How Shanks Became A Child of Fate! One Piece Chapter 1158 Full Spoilers!

In the previous One Piece chapter, Shakuyaku arrives on Hachinosu, becoming its “treasure”, and Harald is offered a proposition by the Five Elders: to kill Rocks so Elbaph can join the World Government.

One Piece Chapter 1158 is titled, “Rocks Vs. Harald”. 

This chapter has 17 pages.

We finally reach Volume 40 of Ogre Child Yamato’s Golden Harvest Surrogate Pilgrimage.

“The pirate of justice lies here”. 

Yamato, 0-Cho and Kikunojo are leaving the grove of the hero where they’ve placed some flowers. 

The name on the grave is “Kozuki Moria”

Setup for the God Valley Incident

The chapter starts in the “Oro Jackson”, where a sulking Roger, wearing the Straw Hat, was unhappy to learn about Shakuyaku quitting Kuja Pirates. 

The last time they fought, Roger noticed that Shakuyaku seemed sick so he was worried about her.

When Shakuyaku quit Kuja Pirates, she left a letter for Rayleigh to go meet her, but Rayleigh did not want to bind himself to anyone. 

So instead, Roger decided to go visit Shakky’s bar in Hachinosu.

40 Years Ago.

Figarland Garling, who was still commander of the Holy Knights at the time, meets with the Five Elders on Mary Geoise to inform them about God Valley, an island he stayed for a short while during a mission.

Garling reveals that he tried to convince them to join the World Government but it seemed like God Valley did not want to part with their vast wealth in resources.

However, Garling made a remarkable discovery while on the island.

We head to Hachinosu, where Shakky clarifies her rules, essentially banning all fighting within the bar.

You can see so many powerful pirates just drinking and talking without causing a ruckus.

Shakky sees Rocks looking more cheerful and fulfilled and asks if he is no longer in love with her.

Charlotte Linlin laughs saying that he probably met another woman and Rocks angrily tells her that it was supposed to be a top secret. 

Whitebeard is confused by what is happening while Stussy thinks to herself that Rocks’ happy face could also mean he has a child as well.

Being from 40 years ago, this means Blackbeard is that spawn.

This is ironic coming from a man who would build his own found family later on but maybe this could inspire him.

Suddenly, the Roger Pirates barge into the bar causing a stir, defeating all the pirates waiting in line outside the bar so they could get in first.

Random pirates were in disbelief to see this infamous crew, with some even taking pictures

Rocks confronted Roger, having already known him and told him many times that Hachinsu is his island.

Roger says that since this is Shakky’s bar, there is no fighting among customers, which is funny that he found a loophole by fighting the pirates waiting outside.

He also calls Rocks a porcupine.

Shakky asks the Roger Pirates if Rayleigh is there but they said he stayed on the ship, avoiding her. Hearing that, Shakky turned sad and faint, a sign of Love Sickness.

A Bizarre Friendship Undone

We cut to the “Underworld” in Elbaph, where we see an incredible double page spread of the two fighting as Harald fights Rocks to fulfill his deal with the Five Elders.

Rocks rightfully scorns Harald for being manipulated by the World Government.

The two would end their fight in a draw, as even with all these powerful attacks and a Haki clash that shook Elbaph, they did not truly want to kill each other.

From this point on, their bizarre friendship has ended, with Rocks declaring that he will no longer try to invite Harald.

Although Harald has his hesitation, he also refuses to associate with a criminal without a future like Rocks.

The manga has done a good job at showing how this unusual bond has formed over time, although it would be nice if the anime could add a few more scenes to show a bit of Harald probably considering Rocks a real friend.

So they never meet again until two years later for “that incident”, which is being set up in these recent chapters.

From then on Loki waited for Rocks to return on Elbaph coast while he read news about Rocks in the newspapers. 

Ida told him a lot of times that Rocks will not come back but at this time, we see that Loki began to open up to Ida. 

Ida could have been such a fine adopted mother had Loki been more open but at least here, he allows her a place in his life.

The Origin of the Twins

39 Years Ago.

The last page of the chapter is on God Valley in the West Blue, where we see a red-haired woman walking with a baby stroller with twin babies in it.

We do not see her back but only her back.

The villagers said how cute they are and they noticed too that the twin babies inherited the woman’s red hair

The villagers hope that the babies will be as smart as their mother and that they will help take care of her since their father is absent.

Smart? Could the mother be a scientist or a scholar like from Ohara?

Or does she hold some different secret that Garling wanted from her.

And does this prove that Garling is indeed the father, being absent because he finished his mission there?

When asked for their names, the woman reveals that they are named “Shanks” and “Shamrock”.

But what is it that Garling found on God Valley that he had to report to the Five Elders?
