Is Gunko Brook’s Daughter? One Piece Chapter 1173 Hints!

In the previous One Piece chapter, Brook has vanished, likely to face Gunko, and Zoro has a plan to stop the Domi Reversi Giants.

One Piece Chapter 1173 continues from there and could potentially set up Brook’s second flashback on his life before becoming a pirate.

Zoro’s Plan Is…

Zoro attacks Dorry and Brogy right away, going after the “two kings” of the Domi Reverse Elbaph.

They try to attack him, but ends up punching each other, which makes it quite funny that this was Zoro’s plan, to let the two strongest Giant Demons hurt each other.

Brook and Gunko

As mentioned before, Brook was once a leader of the battle convoy of a certain kingdom.

In this chapter, we learn that Gunko was the princess of that Kingdom, and he was assigned to protect her, they were quite close.

However, it is unclear if Brook was her biological father like Kyros was to Rebecca or if Brook was only an adopted father figure like many in One Piece (such as Kuma to Bonney) or if it is the same relationship Pell shared with Vivi.

Now considering that Gunko has the same hair color as Vivi and is also a Celestial Dragon like Vivi’s bloodline, it is possible

In fact, perhaps the reason why Imu took Gunko to be their closest aid was because Gunko likely resembled Vivi’s ancestor, Nefertari D. Lili to soothe his obsession with her.

We also learn that the reason Gunko loves Soul King’s music is because Brook used to play music for her when she was a kid.
