Is Yuji Itadori Coming Back? Maru’s True Power Unleashed. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 6 Spoilers!

In the previous Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo chapter, Tsurugi and Yuka are overwhelmed by the old Curse User and Maru is about to reawaken.
Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 6 is titled, “Berserk”
This chapter has 19 pages.

The chapter begins with Masayoshi, the elderly Curse User, surprised to see Maru awaken.
His third eye is glaring right at the old man and Maru attacks him.
Soon, Maru gets behind him and is about to crush him with brute strength but the old man escapes
Meanwhile, Cross watches everything and mocks his older twin brother for losing his mind because his friends got hurt.
Cross is pleased to see that this could trigger the war between the Simurians and the Earthlings, who will likely begin plotting as soon as they see Maru’s powers on display.
However, Cross is not worried because they have Dabura, the guy who appeared at the start of the story, acting as their war leader.
While fighting, the old man sees that the balls in the gymnasium have been frozen in midair.
To him, this goes beyond their understand of Jujutsu as the clock spins wildly.
As the two prepare to fight, Masayoshi recalls his encounter with a hooded figure, a man with a scar above his right eye.
That looks just like Yuji Itadori.
Given this old man’s age, an adult Yuji faced him off as part of his job as a Jujutsu Sorcerer.
Does it mean he will still make more appearances?
The fight begins as the old man follows the note structure (Do-Re-Mi-Fa-So-La-Ti-Do) and then in reverse.
Meanwhile, Maru throws a volley of balls but uses this to get behind and throw a ball on the old man, with this concluding in a barrage of multiple fists and the old man drowning in the pool.
Suddenly, the Curse User emerges, screaming that the pool was hot but Maru somehow freezes him in a block of ice.
The Curse User notes that Maru’s Curse Technique defies all logic, first freezing objects and then making things hot or creating ice with just hand movements.
As Maru prepares to finish him off, Tsurugi gets in the way and stops him.
Considering the timing of these chapters, this looks like a parallel of Sukuna’s first takeover of Yuji since Chapter 1, this time Maru being overtaken by his instincts.
Cross analyzes the situation, noting that whether it is Tsurugi protecting Maru or the other way around, it does not change anything.
Meanwhile, Tsurugi remarks that there are extremists who will want to use the aliens without befriending them.
Just like in the original series, Jujutsu Headquarters and Sorcerers are not unified.
Radicals among Jujutsu and government leaders looking for justifications for war.
Tsurugi sees the tense situation that will come from Maru’s rampage and in seeing Maru’s power, it is clear to him that Earth is at a disadvantage if there are 50,000 like him.
But Tsurugi recalls how Maru only wanted to get along with the Okkotsu siblings, therefore Tsurugi refuses to make Maru the catalyst for war.
Watching from afar, Cross tells Maru to cut Tsurugi down and end his misery to ensure war does happen.
Struggling to stand, Tsurugi tells Maru to wake up and to remember that he wanted the two of them to be friends.
Cross watches on, looking surprised.
Maru’s unconscious body continues to attack and is prepared to take on Tsurugi.
Suddenly, Cross appears and tells Maru to calm himself as he extends his hand to cover the third eye.
The area is filled with pressure, making both Maru and Tsurugi fall down.
Cross looks down at Tsurugi scornfully, wondering why he is even doing this.
Did Tsurugi’s conviction somehow get through to the extremist alien even for a bit?
