WOBLE IS NOT THE REAL 14TH PRINCE?? Hunter x Hunter Chapter 411 Spoilers!

As Kurapika finally explains the true nature of the Succession War and the Kakin Tree, he also drops a bombshell that will change the entire arc: Woble is not the real 14th Prince.

HUNTER X HUNTER © 1998 by Yoshihiro Togashi/SHUEISHA Inc.

In the previous Hunter x Hunter chapter, 1st Prince Prince Benjamin declares special martial law throughout the whole Black Whale as he is running out of time due to his full brother 9th Prince Halkenburg shooting him with a virus that is set to kill him in 10 hours, all the while Morena has brought Borksen, one of 4th Prince Tserriednich’s people, on her side.

Hunter x Hunter Chapter 411 is titled, “Announcement”.

This chapter has 20 pages, including the colored page.

Caption: “Life and Death, divinely governed”

The page features 4th Prince Tserriednich with a halo akin to a saint holding the decayed head of Pairo, Kurapika’s childhood friend.

This is what is called a “cephalophore” or a head carrier, which is normally a motif in Christian art for saints who are miraculously still alive, carrying their severed heads, adding to that contrast of Tserriednich having a divine status as a Nen saint or even natural-born messiah with how intently evil and malicious he is.

Balsamilco reports the funeral schedule to Benjamin. Halkenburg left a will stating that the other princes do not need to attend to minimize chaos. Since Halkenburg was highly trusted by the public, Kaiser notes that the funeral will be grand and strictly guarded, urging their faction to prepare thoroughly. Meanwhile, Fugetsu remains in a deep sleep. Kacho worries if she is draining Fugetsu’s energy, but Kaiser and Melody reassure her that her presence is vital for Fugetsu’s survival. Disguised as a maid, Sarahhell plots with Fukataki to locate any potential Nen Exorcists and adapt her strategy. She calculates that if she has five days, she can execute her plan since Woble is located in the main bedroom. Driven by her intent to assassinate Woble, she arrives at Room 1014.

• Inside Room 1014, the second Nen class begins. Kurapika divides the attendees into an Introductory Class (guaranteeing Nen awakening within 2 weeks) and a Beginner Class (guaranteeing mastery of the Four Major Principles in 1 month). Furykov is amazed by this aggressive timeline but deems it possible, while guarding against the collapse of the military power balance in the room.

• The room is filled with clashing interests and hidden motives. Satobi and Javietti (Queen Duazul’s guards) feel anxious about their future, knowing that the Queen’s Royal Guards are bound to be reorganized regardless of who becomes king. They realize mastering Nen is critical to securing a stable and favorable placement afterward. Tentory (Zhang Lei’s camp), driven by career rivalry, secretly hopes Zhang Lei will stop sending more personnel to Room 1014 to prevent potential rivals from acquiring Nen. Maor (Tubeppa’s camp) believes Tubeppa’s GSB manifestation serves as a strategic deterrent against Benjamin. He aims to buy time, cooperate with Zhang Lei, and train under Kurapika. While Satobi warns against solo actions, his comrade Gadeau is blinded by ambition and plans to assassinate the baby, Prince Woble, at the first opportunity. Kurapika suspects Halkenburg’s death was an assassination but considers utilizing the public’s agitation as a strategic option. He also hopes the Silent Majority (SM) user will attack Tserriednich’s personal guards again, which could trigger a trial against Kurapika and force Tserriednich to personally appear. Slakka seeks to join the Introductory Class to keep a check on Sakata, who is withholding critical Nen information.

• Kurapika announces a crucial piece of Nen information that could sway the Succession Contest, clarifying that it is not something from which only the heir princes stand to benefit. This critical information, he reveals, concerns the Vows and Limitations of the contest, which is rooted in the four stages of the “Matsuri” concept. He explains that the Limitations (risks) generated during Matsuri 3 are absolutely essential, as they create the Nen required to maintain the GSBs’ power—the very leadership needed to guide 1 billion citizens in Matsuri 4.

• Matsuri 1 – Prayer to God: Commemorating national prosperity and establishing the Vows.
• Matsuri 2 – Offering to God: Sacrificing the lives of royal kin as proof of resolve.
• Matsuri 3 – Consolation of Souls: Gathering the deceased from the contest into one place to form a Nen “power spot.”
• Matsuri 4 – Theocracy / Politics by the Ritual Celebrant: Governing the state with the massive power accumulated from Matsuri 3.

• Matsuri 1 and Matsuri 2 represent the resolve of deciding to commit to the Succession Contest. Passing through Matsuri 3 is a prerequisite to finally advance to Matsuri 4. The contest must conclude during the voyage of the Black Whale. If multiple princes remain and the contest ends without a single winner, the Kakin Royal Family will completely fall from the throne. Since they already fight expecting death, “death” is a mere compulsion rather than a limitation, which would have an adverse effect on Nen. Losing their absolute status (dethronement) is the true, binding Limitation.

• Kurapika delivers another major announcement: Prince Woble does not actually possess the qualification to participate in the Succession Contest.

Queen Oito lies down with her back turned to Woble.

Author’s comment: “I listen to a pre recorded TV Drama series while working. I like the voice of the cuckhold on husband’s kid.”
