How Did Dragon Lose Shamrock? One Piece Chapter 1161 Additional Spoilers
In a surprising tribute to Dragon Ball, we now learn how Shanks and Shamrock led separate fates: one hitting his head to be a hero and the other being returned to be raised a villain.

The early spoilers explored Garp’s strength surpassing the future Four Emperors and Rayleigh’s heroic rescue of Shakky from the clutches of a murderous Sommers.
We now have more details surrounding Dragon’s botched rescue of the Figarland twins and the concurrent fights in God Valley.
Dragon vs the Holy Knights
As Dragon runs with the twins, a fang-toothed woman from God’s Holy Knights, Mafigon of the Satchel Family, fires a beam that pierces Dragon’s shoulder.
We now have 13 named Celestial Dragon families.
Seven more to go.
In the previous chapter, we were introduced to the Bavette Family, one of the participating clans competing in the Native Hunting Tournament.
Roger, stuck in a sword clash with Whitebeard, tells Rayleigh to go save Shakky.
It is during this clash that Whitebeard unleashes a powerful attack that splits Mafigon in half.
However, given she is a Holy Knight and possesses Imu’s immortality, she is not dead.
This gave Dragon time to flee but he somehow caused both twins to fall off, with Shanks hitting his head and Shamrock being taken away by Mafigon.
This is how Shamrock ended up back with Garling.
Meanwhile, Shanks hitting his head could be in reference to Son Goku from Akira Toriyama’s Dragon Ball, since this represents a change in one’s predetermined nature.
Just as the Saiyan meant to invade Earth “became human” by hitting his head as a baby, the Celestial Dragon meant to kill the Sun God Nika would also become a true human with his own will.
Indeed, a child of destiny.
This would dispel the theories that Shamrock is a double agent for Dragon, especially considering he is the silhouette among those who would be hunting for the One Piece in Chapter 1121: “The Ebb and Flow of Time”
Rayleigh’s Attack
Shakky tries to run, but Sommers shows up. He says she will fall into Garling’s hands anyway, so he might as well kill her now so that no one else can have her, revealing a possessive, corrupt view of love that would make him the perfect opponent for Sanji.
Just as Sommers is about to strike, Rayleigh appears, draws his sword, and uses Red Spider Lily to send Sommers flying.
The Red Spider Lily is an all too familiar sight for the average anime fan as they often represent the coming of fall and especially, of death.
Rayleigh and Shakky embrace, while Roger and Gaban breaking down crying.
One Piece Chapter 1162 will be released on October 6, 2025.
