Harald’s Downfall! One Piece Chapter 1166 Additional Spoilers!
Is Elbaph’s King Harald a pathetic imitation of Oden or is Oda doing something deeper with this controversial character?
In the previous One Piece chapter, Roger and Garp defeat Rocks D. Xebec with the critical mass of their combined Conqueror’s Haki, ending the God Valley Incident.
Our early spoilers reveal how Rocks was finished off by Garling and Dragon’s arrest and subsequent release from prison at Garp’s hands.
Shanks’ Adoption
Roger finding Shanks in the treasure box, it’s almost the exact same page as the one Oda included in film Red sketches
This means that the Film Red sketches are now in canon form at last, completing Shanks’ origin story as a Figarland.
Loki’s Nika
Loki believed Xebec was Nika, the god who destroys the world, and wanted to join him, but Xebec said he only sought to rule the world, not destroy it.
Neither a liberator nor destroyer.
So ultimately, Xebec would not complete the Will of D but be one carrier.
Question is, will his son Teach be the destroyer?
And would Loki follow the Destroyer or the Liberator, Monkey D. Luffy?
Or would Luffy not be limited by the dualistic religious interpretations of Elbaph?
Harald’s Humiliation
Harald breaks his horns and begs the World Government to let him atone for the Giants’ past(apologize for all the things the Giants did in the past), promising peace, even offering to become a slave to prove his sincerity.
This is hard to take in but we have seen this route before with Kozuki Oden, a ruler who traded his dignity and his people’s for the sake of their safety.
