In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Cath has been vanquished…for now.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 232 is titled, “The Inheritors of the Will”

This chapter has 20 pages.

The cover features Elizabeth and Meliodas in their Seven Deadly Sins days.

The chapter begins with Nasiens and Anne seeing that the skies have turned back to darkness since Cath’s retreat.

Darkmunt and its castle have been restored after being absorbed by Camelot, which means Griamore and his wife, Princess Veronica Liones, and their son Dredrin, are back.

This does explain their notable absence since they have their own fief.

This leads to Griamore reuniting with his cousin Gilthunder, to Howzer meeting up again with Dredrin, and the sisters, Veronica and Margaret, embracing.

We went over this web of a family tree last year.

However, Margaret looks on sad.

Meanwhile, King and Diane gaze at the destroyed city of Liones, something which has not happened even when the Ten Commandments attacked.

This was the hardest hit the city took in the main story.

Diane intends to raze the rubble before any rebuilding can start.

King remarks no one could have survived without Elizabeth’s power, which leads to Diane crying.

Gowther and Ban communicate with the Four Knights of Prophecy, who were in Camelot, over a crystal ball.

Tristan is amazed King Arthur was defeated but Gowther clarifies that “Arthur” was actually Cath Palug, a demon cat.

Furthermore Gowther points out that while Cath was defeated, he was merely banished for a time.

It seems that Cath has no permanent defeat until it is by the hands of the Four Knights.

Okay, Cath just leaving after a funny defeat and having the ability to share essence with Holy Knights is definitely a lowkey One Piece copy moment.

Even if Oda did invent the immortal Holy Knights a year after Four Knights revealed the Chaos buff (both appeared in 2024 but Elbaph began and revealed the Holy Knights by the start of 2025.

But yes, it fits the narrative that all the overpowered Seven Deadly Sins could do to an immortal being with a large fragment of Chaos is simply stall and weaken it with paralyzing fear that could break its will.

However, time heals all wounds and Cath will come back.

Perhaps Cath will be weakened in the final battle.

Or Chaos will fully revive and be a real threat instead of a help or as Arthur’s being.

Anyway, Tristan asks about the wave of anxiety he felt but asks if no one got killed, to which Gowther said yes.

He and Ban did not bring up what really happened to Elizabeth.

As Elizabeth was now unconscious, Gowther reveals that Elizabeth will never wake up again, having released a force only gods can wield but with Elizabeth having a human body, she was only lucky to have survived.

Ban returns home to Benwick and asks Gowther to take care of Meliodas for him.

As he goes out, Ban coughs up blood, signalling that his end might be coming soon.

But now he trusts Lancelot to carry on for him.

And of course Lancelot sneezes from that mention while Percival and Tristan nerd out about the Seven Deadly Sins.

Sitting on a pile of bodies, Lancelot asks the other Camelot Holy Knights if they intend to fight upon learning their sovereign was a pretender.

From afar, mysterious Knights look upon the Four Knights as new targets.

One of them is a spirit or is intangible.

A fitting foe for Percival to face.

Another looks like a short Japanese-type warrior with an oni mask.

Who are they?

Are they with Camelot?

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 233 is titled “Mysterious Assassins” and will be released on April 8, 2026.
