Base Meliodas NO DIFFS Base Cath Arthur! Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 222 Spoilers!
While Meliodas treats the pretender Arthur as a fraud, we see Guinevere finally meet her beloved’s father and the start of a countdown to his possible death.
In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, after exposing Camelot’s lies, the Seven Deadly Sins prepare their attack on Cath Arthur, with Meliodas recognizing that this is not his old friend.
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 222 is titled, “The Seven Deadly Sins vs The Eternal King!”
This chapter has 20 pages.
The cover shows Meliodas bumping his fist on Arthur, with Cath hanging from Arthur’s leg, which is quite a nice visual representation of the corruption of Arthur’s body
The chapter begins where we left off when the Four Evils regenerate after taking the blow for Cath Arthur.
Ban remarks that he has met Ironside before and wonders what is going on with him as Ban has never seen Chaos powers on him.
Cath Arthur charges, with Meliodas responding and asking who Cath Arthur is, since the Arthur Meliodas knew only wanted happiness for his people and was not conceited about being a king.
After catching Meliodas with a giant tentacle, Cath smacks Meliodas and mocking him for being weak.
The people despair as they see “Arthur” had wanted to destroy them.
Gareth gives out as he can no longer maintain all these souls.
Amidst the despair, Guinevere arrives, telling the people to judge with their own eyes what is true from false, and most of all, who has protected them in spite of the people calling them “Great Sins”.
We are once again returning to the old theme of the original story, of how the Seven Deadly Sins were called such due to their perceived sins and the lies told by a holy order of knights.
Guinevere shows them how the desire for paradise has caused the masses to betray their protectors.
Meanwhile, Cath Arthur flies and mocks Meliodas, once the most feared of the Demon Clan as the former leader of the Ten Commandments, now gaining weaknesses and things to bind him in the form of his wife Elizabeth, his son Tristan and the people of Liones.
He turns the tendril arm into an insect arm to cut the tower where King Bartra and Elizabeth are.
However, Meliodas lifts the tower up, saying that he is stronger than he was 3,000 years ago.
Cath Arthur mocks Meliodas, who suddenly appears behind him while he is speaking.
Here, Meliodas says that he can convert every drop of blood into power to protect his loved ones, with one punch from base form to prove it.
Meliodas activates his Sacred Treasure Lostvayne to create clones to attack Arthur.
The Four Evils fire magic blasts at the people, with Guinevere about to be hit by one.
Suddenly, Guinevere is picked up by Ban, with the girl identifying her rescuer as Lancelot’s father.
But this brings up a worrying vision Guinevere never shared with Lancelot, about his father’s fate.
Will Ban die in this battle?
Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 223 is titled, “What I Want to Protect” and will be released on January 28, 2026.
