Code vs Boruto, Round 2! Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34 Spoilers!
Code once again remains on fraudwatch as Boruto puts him back in place with Uzuhiko.
In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Inojin saves the day by hijacking the Mamushi hivemind but in the midst of this, Code is about to make his move.
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 34 is titled, “I’m Used to It Now”
This chapter has 41 pages, including the chapter cover.
The chapter cover shows Code with a purple aesthetic around, even his lips being purple.
Caption: “After defeating the Human God Tree Mamushi, what will Boruto do with the Thorn Soul he has obtained!?”
Thorn Bulb Soul Expiry
The chapter begins where we left off as Boruto explains what happens to a Thorn Soul when it is left alone to rot.
Editor’s note:Â “Boruto has defeated Mamushi and obtained the Thorn Soul!!! But it seems he can’t afford to be too complacent!?!?!”
Boruto says that if a Thorn Soul bulb rots within minutes, the people trapped in trees will die.
This means that to save someone, they would need to quickly go to the location where they became trees.
Convenient that Ryu died in the Land of Wind, where Shinki and Gaara were sealed.
However, it is interesting that although Konohamaru acquired Matsuri’s Thorn Soul bulb in the Land of Wind, they had enough time to get back to the Leaf, likely a combination of Boruto’s Flying Raijin and Delta coming over.
As Kawaki looks on ominously, Himawari hugs Inojin, glad to see him awake and it is all thanks to Himawari healing his eyes.
Konohamaru carries Sarada on his back to the hospital.
Daemon checks up on his older sister and seeing that she is fine, he tells her to go ahead to join the rest.
Code’s Scheme
Koji, via his Toad, tells Boruto that Code has yet to show himself in this chaos and Boruto remarks that since the Human God Trees all have Claw Marks, Code is able to listen to them.
Code has Claw marks all over the trees where the Human God Trees were formed, so he knows that Boruto would come to Bug’s tree to restore him and that would be the right chance for an ambush.
Koji sees this outcome as common in many futures.
However, the battle with Mamushi has altered the shape of fate once again yet it is strange that given Code’s motives to kill Boruto, he has not appeared yet.
So Koji sees three broad paths coming up:
- Boruto kills Code, the most ideal outcome. Tracking down his location will not be easy.
- Code escapes, seeing his odds against Boruto are slim and then target the weakened Sarada, to use her as a hostage to lure him to the Divine Tree.
- Given how messed up the future is now, Code could potentially betray the Human God Trees and cooperate with Boruto, with the chances of that being near zero.
With these options and paths, Path 1 is the easiest and causes the fewest deviations.
Boruto sees the Thorn Soul bulb begin to decay.
Then he checks on Himawari and Inojin, remarking that he is now exempt from the head shaving.
Protective big brother now approves future boyfriend for his sister.
Boruto teleports and Himawari faintly turns out, taking note of his absence.
We get another Scientific Ninja Toad Toad, this time lighter-toned.
It is Amado.
The circle is complete.
Boruto has Koji as a toad assistant and now Kawaki has Amado.
Amado tells Kawaki to return to the lab as they need to talk, likely about the consequences of his power boost.
With a symbol he planted, Boruto teleports to the Kara dimension and uses his Byakugan to confirm Code’s Claw Mark on Bug’s tree.
Code stalks within his Claw Mark, calling Boruto a fool for trying to save a “Bug” he does not even know but he totally expects that from Boruto, a kindhearted fool.
Code anticipates Boruto coming close, intending to kill him.
Sarada’s Blindness
Sarada wakes up in a hospital bed, with Sumire and Cho Cho watching over her but she is unable to clearly see them.
Her mother Sakura hands her glasses to her but Sarada is shocked that she is still unable to clearly see how many fingers Sakura is holding.
Page 18 is the sneak peek.
Here, Sakura brings up the price of overusing the Mangekyo Sharingan, especially if the technique and situation are stressful.
Sarada still wants to continue to fight in spite of this.
Sakura takes off Sarada’s glasses and hugs her daughter, telling her that it is not her place to stop Sarada, that it is the power and strength she needed and created for herself in order to protect someone.
Sakura CONFIRMED to Know the Truth About Itachi
Sakura asks if Sarada wants to become Boruto’s strength.
Sarada looks down and nods quietly, blushing.
Sakura remarks that Sarada really is her kid through and through, willing to throw everything for one boy.
Well at least Sarada’s relationship with Boruto was not as toxic.
Sarada remarks that like her father Sasuke (who is once again treated as a rogue ninja for protecting Boruto), Sarada always stands up against overwhelming odds, no matter what shame comes to her.
Sarada also shares this trait with her uncle, her father’s brother.
AYOOOO WE GOT AN ITACHI MENTION!!!
Itachi mentioned after so, so long.
But this also finally confirms after 10 years that Sasuke actually told Sakura the full truth about Itachi.
Although both Naruto and Sasuke wanted to preserve Itachi and the Uchiha Clan’s honor, it would not make sense for Sasuke to hide it from his own wife, especially with how Sakura as an adult is characterized as quite a mature, understanding person.
Sakura says that she will always trust her and her father no matter what happens.
She is used to the way people talking trash about their family.
So, Sarada as a teenager is in a similar position as Naruto as a kid.
At least she got part of Naruto’s terrible life down.
Chanaro?
Suddenly, a medical ninja comes in to tell Sakura about the patient in room 8.
Sakura leaves with a Chanaro! shout.
Cho Cho finally asks the question.
What does Chanaro even mean?
Even Sarada does not know.
As she walks, Sakura cries out all the tears she has felt, all her worry for her daughter.
But also her pride.
Sarada admires how Sakura can get herself so fired up.
Cho Cho wonders why Sarada is much closer to a traitor like Boruto than to her supposed teammate Kawaki.
However, after seeing it firsthand, Cho Cho understand that Boruto does fight for the Leaf.
And she also brings up how handsome Boruto is, which Sarada denies is the big reason.
Rogue ninja rizz?
Both Sarada and Sumire take note of this.
Cho Cho also remarks that Kawaki is also handsome even though he looks nothing like the Seventh Hokage.
Cho Cho feels relieved that they could talk normally like this.
It seems Naruto’s supposed death really made the Leaf Village more somber, high-alert and mission-oriented.
Cho Cho checks up on Sumire, still calling her class rep after all of these years.
Sarada tells her to just call her Sumire, with Sumire acting cutely and telling Cho Cho to call her “Sumire-chan”.
Cho Cho is alarmed by this sudden change in character, wondering if this is the result of Sarada’s Mangekyo Sharingan.
Faulty as the logic is, she is almost there with how the memories of the entire world have been altered by a certain divine power.
Uzuhiko To the Face!
As Boruto prepares to tap the Thorn Soul Bulb on Bug’s tree, Code emerges for the attack but Boruto stops himself from reviving Bug and activates Uzuhiko to bring Code out.
So much aura loss.
Code is practically Boruto’s plaything.
Boruto tells Code to have more confidence as he only missed once so far, asking him what his next move is.
While Code seems shaky, Code warns him that he will understand soon enough.
Code leaves through his Claw Mark on the ground.
Koji tells Boruto that he was provoking Code too much, leaving things at a stalemate.
However, Boruto was too late to save Bug, apologizing to him.
Koji tells him not to feel sorry for Bug as he was a villain.
This is also a moment for Boruto to see what happens when a soul burns away.
Editor’s note:Â “Bug’s soul burns away, making a mockery of Boruto’s good will! And what is Code’s next plan…?!”
Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 35 will be released on June 20, 2026.
