In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Kashin Koji is kidnapped by Kawaki and Amado.

Boruto Two Blue Vortex Chapter 36 is titled, “A Parent’s Heart”

This chapter has 41 pages, including the cover.

The cover features Amado, with a beige jacket over a green shirt, matching the beige cover and green text.

Editor’s note: “The future that Amado desires at the end of his schemes is-“

“Amado used Kawaki to bring Kashin Koji to an emergency stop, but what is his aim!?”

The chapter begins with a flashback to the time Amado asks Kawaki to kidnap Koji and Kawaki wonders if this will help with the Human God Trees’ defeat.

Amado tells him not to worry because everything he’s doing is for the sake of his daughter.

He wants the Shinju to be defeated as quickly as possible but he has something personal to talk about with Koji.

Kawaki agrees pretty quickly, because he doesn’t care to talk about any in depth reasons, for as long as it doesn’t get in the way of his goal, he will do it.

Amado asks if Boruto is currently in the Leaf.

Kawaki says he is, but he has his chakra signal turned off, so all he can feel is his Otsutsuki presence.

Amado says now is their chance to move while Boruto is not with Koji, and before Ten Directions gets another update.

Now we return to the present where Kawaki completes the job.

Meanwhile, Kobu is confused because he came to the roof of the Hokage’s office, when he’d previously been in the interrogation room with the Hokage!

He has no memory of leaving the room, or even standing up from his chair.

He explains to the elders that when he came to, he was surrounded by Mamushi!

He panicked, thinking he’d die for sure but suddenly, Boruto, the “Hokage-killing” traitor, saved him, wiping out the six monsters in an instant.

Instead of being grateful, Kobu insists this is a farce, that Shikamaru is working with Boruto and was using the attack to stop the interrogation.

Wow, conspiracy theories, am I right? So true to real life.

Koharu Utatane thinks that it’s becoming increasingly likely that Boruto is in communication with the God Trees and Homura concurs, saying it is natural to be a conspiracy nut and that it is probable that Boruto may have even lured the God Trees into the Leaf.

Both agree that Shikamaru and Boruto are working together, a premise to take Shikamaru down.

Sai tries to stop them, saying they’re taking their theorizing too far, asking if they think the Hokage is trying to rebel against the village.

While Kobu acknowledges the role of others helping Boruto, he wants the person at the top to take responsibility first.

Kobu already sent his report to the Feudal Lord of the Land of Fire and it will only be a matter of time before he will approve for Shikamaru Nara’s dismissal as Hokage, which will be needed alongside the two elders’ consent.

The sensory team reports in to Shikamaru regarding what appears to be someone matching the late Jiraiya’s chakra signal entering the village.

This is the cause behind, Page 13, the sneak peek.

Koji wakes up restrained in the jutsu sealing handcuffs.

This leaves him unable to control his Frogs.

Amado compliments him on surviving his fight with Isshiki and says that it has been a long time since they last met and hoped Koji did not hold too much of a grudge against him.

Koji says he understood the circumstances going into the mission anyway.

While surprised to see him still alive, Amado asks about Koji’s shinjutsu, Ten Directions and remarks that the last update was 4 days ago before the Mamushi battle, which is the fight where Amado became aware of the ability.

This kidnapping was a development Koji did not expect and so Amado exploited that.

Ten Directions’ greatest weakness is its blind spots and Koji’s overconfidence in faithfully following his ability’s visions actually made him more naive and weaker.

Amado reveals he altered Koji’s brainwaves right now and remarks that the interval between Ten Directions’ updates takes too much time but Amado intends to shorten them a bit for more accurate information and he does so by altering Koji’s brain to be more active via an ultrasound procedure.

We get to the chapter title, of how Amado views himself as Koji’s parent.

Amado shows Koji the clone of Akebi and reveals that Kawaki’s new Karma contains her memories and genetic information.

He intends for Kawaki, an Otsutsuki, to carve his Karma on her clone body similar to the Otsutsuki method of reincarnation.

We finally see why Amado needed Koji, to confirm if there is a future where Kawaki will implant a Karma on his daughter Akebi.

Koji confesses that there is no future where that happens.

We do not see Amado’s facial expressions, likely being disappointed, but he thanks Koji, uncuffs him, and says he looks forward to the next update, likely because this kidnapping will alter the future more now.

Or that Amado is plotting something even bigger.

Shikamaru tries to access Amado’s lab but he changed the password to prevent the Hokage’s entry.

As Boruto returns to the hideout, he sees Koji is gone but suddenly, Koji pops out of the Reverse Summoning Circle but he is tired.

Communicating with Shikamaru and Eida, Koji asks Eida to check out exactly what Amado did to him an hour ago.

Suddenly, he kneels down, overwhelmed and this is because the update is coming.

Sarada walks around the village, being vigilant with her regular Sharingan

Koji receives the current update.

Flashes of Sumire, Claw Grimes, Boruto activating Karma, taking a hit.

Sarada’s encounter with Code (face pressed into claw marks), which is ongoing.

Boruto’s right eye, which leads into the final reveal later on.

Sarada using her Mangekyo, Hidari reaching towards her

Jura cooking soup..??? Boruto’s right eye, some tree roots, and kawaki’s right eye, and Jura’s foot!

More flashes from the update, with added context for certain scenes:

We have a land of fire gat, Kobu smirking, the corner of the Hokage’s cloak.

Konohamaru looking tense, the Jura scene expanded, this time showing Jura cooking alongside shikamaru with a tasting dish, hinting at them bonding later.

Moegi also looking concerned, Hidari, again reaching towards Sarada and she reaches forward

More tree roots, some random leaf Jonin. Himawari, karma Kawaki, Boruto’s horn, Sarada’s belt buckle, and finally, Borushiki with a full horn.

Koji tells Boruto to calm down and warn him that the decoy plan with Sarada will fail.

With his right arm stub, which now has a mechanical digits, Code extracts Boruto’s metal symbols from Sarada’s clothes, having sensed Boruto’s chakra all over her and already sniffed Boruto’s plan to use him to sneak into the God Tree hideout.

Boruto senses trouble and uses Flying Raijin to get there but it is too late.

We could see Hidari vs Sarada very soon.

Editor’s note: “Contact with Amado, a new update, the failure of the plan, and… A huge spiral that makes a whirlpool out of fate!”
