Boruto’s Secret Weapon Against TEN-TAILS Has Been Revealed! Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 27 Spoilers!

As Mamushi prepares his invasion with his army of clones, Boruto begins preparing for a weapon that cannot be broken or can even destroy the God Tree itself!

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex © 2023 Mikio Ikemoto, Masashi Kishimoto Shueisha

In the previous Boruto: Two Blue Vortex chapter, Inojin joins Boruto’s side while Sarada and Sumire are exposed for their lie to Eida and are now attacked by Daemon.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex Chapter 27 is titled, “Betting One’s Life”

This chapter has 40 pages, including the chapter cover.

The cover features Inojin Yamanaka wearing a yellow and purple jacket with a tanto tied to his backpack.

The background looks like paper with a sketch closeup of Inojin and some kanji that reads “Ascertain true justice!!”, which ties into his alliance with Boruto.

Editor’s note: “Sarada and Sumire’s immunity to Eida’s charm has been exposed!! How will Daemon counter?”

The chapter begins where we left off with Daemon holding the necks of Sarada and Sumire.

However, this did not lead to a fight.

Instead, this was Daemon’s reminder that he could kill them before they even have a chance to react.

Eida explains that she finds it strange that two girls who are not Otsutsuki or her relatives are unaffected by Omnipotence.

She also dismisses the idea that it is because they are both in love with Boruto, an Otsutsuki, since there are other girls in the Leaf Village who have a crush on either him or Kawaki yet they are affected by Omnipotence.

This leaves one answer: that Eida herself gave an exception to the two of them, a subconscious recognition that the two girls are her real friends.

Eida recalls how Sarada once said that they should be normal friends and that it made her so happy as it was her deepest wish even before meeting them and this time, she knows the two mean her no harm.

Even then, if the two girls were the ones to end her, it would not be so bad for her.

Suddenly, Sarada squeezes Sumire’s hand and runs towards Eida for a hug, which for Sarada is a declaration of her resolve and commitment to be there for Eida.

Eida asks her two actual friends to be good to her.

Meanwhile, while telepathically linked to Shikamaru via Inojin, Koji reveals Mamushi’s power: the ability to split apart.

However, this is totally unlike Shadow Clones or Second Tsuchikage Mu’s Fission jutsu.

Both have limits and spread chakra around each other, making both the user and each clone weaker than the complete original.

On the other hand, Mamushi’s copies are all the “real body”.

However, this has a weakness, as all jutsu, even shinjutsu, do.

Mamushi loses intelligence with every clone produced, along with lower pain thresholds and simpler movements.

In other words, he is still as strong as his full self but becomes dumber, slower and easier to mow down.

Shikamaru sees the easy, optimal solution is to let Mamushi multiply so much he is unable to think properly.

Koji has one more important note: crush both of Mamushi’s eyes.

If both eyes are destroyed, the clone cannot produce more clones.

Additionally, for every clone destroyed, the others regain a bit of their intelligence.

Shikamaru sees the dilemma: leave too few and the Leaf will have a hard time fighting but leave too many and it will be harder to control the enemy.

Koji advises that they should aim for 20-30 clones and they should treat Mamushi like an animal herd that they can corral to defeat every single clone in one blow.

Shikamaru asks a good question: what if Mamushi leaves a clone behind in a hideout.

Koji tells him not to worry about that as the clones have an innate tendency to swarm.

So even if Mamushi plans to leave one clone behind, that clone will inevitably be drawn to where the majority is.

Inojin asks why the Leaf Village has to be the place to exterminate him, rather than go after him directly.

Koji says that this will prevent Jura’s involvement since while Boruto and Himawari are his targets, the Leaf is not.

This is because it seems that he has taken a liking to the Leaf Village since he always visits the bookstore and sweets shop.

This leads into the first sneak peek as in a present or past scene, we see Jura eating sweets and drinking tea in a sweets shop in the Leaf Village.

Koji remarks that since Jura has deemed fighting in the Leaf Village unacceptable, Mamushi would make sure not to make Jura, his superior, angry and thus prevent unwarranted destruction of the Village.

Boruto asks if this will be the same if he loses intelligence while splitting into an army of clones.

Koji notes that it is a basic instinct and that Mamushi will always maintain his fear of Jura, as well as his instinct to devour Eida.

Since Eida is confined to the Leaf, the best place to trap him in is the Village itself.

Koji asks Inojin to master a new jutsu, which will be pivotal in the battle against Mamushi.

A new jutsu that is backward compatible with the Mind Transfer Jutsu.

Koji foresaw Mamushi’s arrival in a week’s time or less, so Inojin has two days to master this jutsu.

Inojin is unsure of how he can master a jutsu he has no knowledge of.

Koji explains that this was a jutsu Inojin created in the future to avenge Himawari, making Inojin alarmed.

Seeing the changed look in his eyes, Koji says that this is of course a future to avoid but Koji saw great value in the experiences that future version of Inojin gained.

Inojin is resolved to master this jutsu within a single day.

Meanwhile, Amado checks photos of Jura with Kawaki and it confirms that the tree Jura was controlling in Chapter 24: “Kawaki Uzumaki” to heal himself was the Divine Tree itself.

Not only can Jura heal himself but is also an impenetrable shield to protect himself.

Just like how the Ten-Tails separated from Kaguya in the anime or that the Divine Tree is separate from the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki, we also see that Jura, the incarnation of the Ten-Tails owned by Isshiki, treats the Divine Tree as a mere extension.

However, keep in mind that this is a Divine Tree that needs to devour an Otsutsuki to bear fruit.

For Amado, Isshiki is unbeatable but Kawaki disagrees.

During their fight, Kawaki remarked that Jura is beatable, even with the Divine Tree considered.

Kawaki demands that he must be even stronger.

Amado warns Kawaki that his body will not be able to withstand that kind of power but Kawaki lifts him up by the throat, reminding Amado of their deal to help his daughter.

Amado looks at his daughter Akebi’s body.

Kawaki reminds Amado that he does not care what happens to himself or anyone: either he will kill the enemy at the root first or he will die trying.

Meanwhile, Konohamaru is interrogated by Kobu, who refuses to buy his excuse as being there during the interrogation of Boruto and in fact says this is what a mole would say.

Konohamaru admits that during the interrogation, he was initially resentful of Boruto but recently, he finds some inconsistencies with his public image as a traitor.

Kobu comments that Konohamaru has been tactfully manipulated and seems to not understand the position he is in.

He monologues about how Konohamaru seems unintelligent due to how tactless he is, which is unbecoming of a mole.

This means that the mole is someone else.

As Kobu reaches this conclusion, Shikamaru reaches out to Konohamaru through Inojin’s Mind Transmission, telling him to listen and reply without using his voice.

Shikamaru goes straight to the point and admits that he is the one who allowed Boruto to escape by telling Mitsuki the passcode and to undo Boruto’s cuffs.

Shikamaru even tells Konohamaru that he is collaborating with Boruto on his own accord.

Konohamaru is astonished that the Eighth Hokage would even do this.

As Konohamaru thinks about Boruto helping him deal with Matsuri, Shikamaru requests Konohamaru to lend him and Boruto’s group his strength.

Of course, the final decision is up to Konohamaru.

As Konohamaru silently trails off, Sai watches him suspiciously.

Will Sai, the ANBU chief, side with Shikamaru and Konoahmaru or betray them for the sake of the Land of Fire, a higher power than his home, the Leaf Village?

Back to Eida’s place, Sumire intends to go to the lab.

Sarada intends to join but Eida grabs her giddily, telling her that they are not done talking yet.

It seems that we will have another girl talk chapter later.

Is this chapter the first “romance-centric” chapter with Kawaki in it?

As Sumire steps out, Boruto appears beside the door.

Mitsuki watches on from afar.

Boruto presents her Sasuke’s sword, which has been chipped but is still able to channel Boruto’s Lightning chakra via “Uchiha Sword Style: Cloaked Sword”.

The technique could have prevented the sword from chipping but since he let his guard down against Jura, this was the result.

So he comes to Sumire to ask her to fix the sword, even giving her a scroll containing a jutsu formula but he does not elaborate on more details.

Or more like to avoid spoiling the audience.

Now we have two new mystery jutsu that will be revealed in due time, this time for Sumire to use in repairing the blade.

Interesting how the Nue has yet to be brought up in the manga.

It seems this jutsu will change the nature of the blade into something else.

A new weapon for Boruto’s future battles against the Human God Trees, yet another change from the first scene of the Boruto series.

Or maybe that is the point since we know that Kawaki has Sukunahikona, which can shrink inanimate objects.

Perhaps this new sword will be immune to the shrinking technique or even be a helpful counter against the Kokugan itself.

Alternatively, considering Boruto’s current focus is fighting Jura, this might even cut down the Divine Tree.

Sumire asks if Boruto is fine with this change and he says Sasuke would not have minded if he were around.

Sumire also tells Boruto not to call her “class prez” anymore but Sumire, signifying her desire to be closer to Boruto.

The chapter ends with Mamushi coming with his army of clones a few days after Boruto’s visit to Eida’s place.

Mamushi reminds his clones to erase their chakra signatures like any Otsutsuki and Human God Tree is able to do and to not let them detect their “demon window”.
