Ban Trains His Son Lancelot! Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 208 Spoilers!

Lancelot begins his training arc with his father Ban on how to use Zero Sign to avoid detection and possibly a level of power beyond that.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse © 2021 by Nakaba Suzuki/Kodansha

In the previous Four Knights of the Apocalypse chapter, Lancelot returns to Benwick and reunites with his parents, Ban and Elaine.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 208 is titled, “Father-Son Talk”

This chapter has 20 pages.

The cover shows kid Lancelot wandering the forests of Benwick.

The chapter begins with the fairies gathering to meet with the royal family, who are eating dinner.

Elaine insists Lancelot eat more

We also see Tioreh, King’s youngest daughter and one of Lancelot’s many cousins, visiting and having been here to help out Elaine and Ban from time to time since Lancelot is always away.

Tioreh also brings up the return of King’s lost son, who is actually a daughter, Nasiens.

Lancelot is shocked to learn all of this: that his teammate Nasiens is a changeling, the missing child of King and Diane and that they are cousins.

He also tells Tioreh to stop calling him “Lan-lan” and asks how Mertyl is doing.

Tioreh says that Mertyl is still their precious brother

Embracing her niece, Elaine remarks that she is glad that Tioreh did not take after her brother King, who only rarely visits due to not liking Ban much.

It is time for Lancelot to catch up on recent events, with him revealing that throughout the timeskip, the Four Evils have formed a perimeter specifically to watch out for Lancelot, which limited his movements and prevented him from coming home to Benwick.

That changed when he saw that all of them converged in Annwyfn in Chapter 199: “The Visitor” and so Lancelot came to check out, where he would reunite with his pals, Tristan, Gawain and Percy, who have stepped up to take on the Four Evils in spite of how outmatched they are.

Ban is surprised to learn that Percival is alive and rubs Lancelot’s head, feeling the same sentiment of having recovered a supposedly lost best friend as he knew all too well from his time with Meliodas.

Ban then calls for celebratory drinks, which Elaine enthusiastically agrees with while their niece says no.

While Tioreh is asleep, Elaine watches Ban and Lancelot spar.

Lancelot learned how to increase pressure on his own body from taking on Anghalhad’s Interrogator Magic ability in the previous chapter.

Yes, he lied on purpose to gain her ability. Lancelot always has a purpose and was totally not just being a tsundere son.

Ban says this makes Lancelot perfect for weight training and why Ban was able to catch him so fast even while drunk.

Ban is assured that Lancelot has not lost his touch in combat.

Lancelot, however, expresses his worries about causing Ban and Benwick trouble and did his best to get away from home to ensure its safety.

Suddenly, Ban laughs and says that it is the kid’s job to make mistakes while the parents take care of them.

Lancelot explains why he kept avoiding Ban five years ago after returning from being missing with Jericho and it is because Lancelot read Ban’s mind, apologizing to him every time.

Ban felt guilty for letting Lancelot be missing but Lancelot says Ban goes overboard while Ban says he will understand once he also has a son.

Lancelot asks his father for a favor: to teach him his skill, Zero Sign, that allowed him to catch Lancelot from behind while he was unaware.

He needs this skill because he is now the most wanted man in Camelot.

We see a cool panel where we see the comparison.

Ban emits no aura while Lancelot is oozing and overflowing with magic.

So Ban tells Lancelot to close his eyes to feel everything.

Lancelot feels his father’s presence, the smell of booze on his body, his mother watching them, Tioreh having passed out from drinks.

Ban asks if Lancelot sensed anything else, to which Lance says that he senses the fairies, big and small, the deer, squirrels, a rabbit, a pack of wolves, smaller birds nesting and more.

But Ban probes deeper, asking about every little creature and plant or even little pebbles.

Lancelot complains that it is pointless because who would care to check every nook and cranny.

Ban says that is the point because no one pays attention to every tree, rocks or insect and yet those beings do not bother to hide from anyone at all.

This is akin to the Selfless State featured in Demon Slayer and, to an extent, Hunter x Hunter, the lack of self.

The lack of self enables one to be at one with the world without being noticed or thought of as a threat.

The chapter ends with Ban making Lancelot call him “Master” and Lancelot gets annoyed but to Elaine and the audience, it clearly shows how close the two are.

Four Knights of the Apocalypse Chapter 209 is titled, “Spirited away!!” and will be released on October 8, 2025.
