Yes, Sorcerers Can Double Jump, According to Jujutsu Kaisen Author
Jujutsu Kaisen Volume 28 provides some surprising details about a Sorcerer ability Akutami had not fully implemented into the main story.
Jujutsu Kaisen has introduced an intricate power system in the form of cursed energy, which allows Sorcerers and cursed spirits to perform numerous feats, from gaining super strength to creating unique techniques that warp their bodies or even reality itself.
At long last, Jujutsu Kaisen now has another application of cursed energy, double jumps.
Gege in extras talks about airjump + Higuruma crumbs:

The full statement is as follows:
“I had been meaning to share this somewhere, but due to time constraints, it got shelved. I’m talking about the concept of strong sorcerers having a means of aerial movement (like a double jump). It was unveiled in the Sakurajima colony that, aside from using techniques like Gojo’s, there are methods such as those used by Maki, who manipulate the «air surface». Sukuna has been utilizing this «air surface» movement method for a while now, and he even releases cursed energy in a tiny explosive burst when he captures the air surface, allowing him to soar through the skies faster than Maki or Yuta. (Though, to be fair, the air surfaces aren’t everywhere, and they’re quite fluid, so the routes are limited.) Additionally, this technique of channeling cursed energy into the air surface is something Higuruma uses when he strikes with his wooden hammer. I had plans to intertwine this setting to illustrate just how much hidden talent Higuruma possesses as a sorcerer.”
According to Akutami, sorcerers can double jump through various means, particularly by producing either a tiny platform of energy to step on or, in Sukuna’s case, visible explosions to propel the user upwards.
This was exhibited by Sukuna moving past the Jacob’s Ladder’s blast.
Sukuna and Yuta have precise cursed energy control to produce this effect.
At first, this move from Sukuna was strange, as it was previously established throughout the series that innate cursed techniques were required
Before the Culling Game, only Satoru Gojo with his Infinity could stand in mid-air, being able to put a barrier around his feet or body to prevent any force to get to him.
There were also characters capable of flight such as Momo Nishimiya through her Tool Manipulation of her Broom.
In the Culling Game, we were introduced to Takako Uro, whose power “Sky Manipulation” allowed her to treat the sky as a surface.
With this information, it is possible that Uro’s “Sky Manipulation” was based on Uro learning how to stand in mid-air but applied with more flexibility to help her camouflage, which removed the need for clothing, and weaken attacks by distorting their shape.
Even as a newly awakened sorcerer, the genius Higuruma is able to channel cursed energy through thin air when he uses his wooden hammer, which works similarly to Uro’s technique.
Uro’s “Thin Ice Breaker” is an extension technique that allows her to touch the sky and break it like thin ice to produce a powerful shockwave, making it an advanced application or unique spin to Higuruma’s ability to strike cursed energy through his hammer.
Returning to Gojo for a bit, Gojo’s ability to stand in mid-air and fly is also attributed to his precise cursed energy control, showing that Gojo has the highest level of skill, albeit aided by the Limitless cursed technique.
Air Walks are a feature in anime such as One Piece’s Geppo technique and Bleach, which is likely where Akutami was inspired from.
In Bleach, Shinigami, Arrancar, Quincies and Fullbringers each have unique movement abilities but they all allow the user to stand in mid-air as if the sky was a surface by channeling reiatsu on their feet to create a platform, which is more visible for Quincy with their Hirenkyaku.
It seems Maki’s air walk is more in line with Geppo since Geppo involves strong kicks at the air to prevent contact with the ground while Sukuna and the rest, who have cursed energy, apply precise control over their energy to create small platforms or cause an explosive force to propel the user upwards.
If there was time to explore this ability, we would see if other sorcerers were capable or would it come from geniuses like Sukuna and Yuta or from unique beings like Maki and her complete lack of cursed energy.
