Witch Watch Ends Next Week
After a 5-year run, Witch Watch sees its conclusion with the declaration that magic is fun.
On November 5, 2026, it is announced that Witch Watch will end on Weekly Shonen Jump Issue No. 51, which will be released on November 16, 2026, with Chapter 270 and will have 22 pages, giving the ending a bit more of an extension to breathe.
This comes with the current chapter’s editor’s note: “”Magic is fun!!!! A magical comedy overflowing with smiles reaches its climax!!!”
Previously, the final battle was announced on October 11th with the release of Chapter 265
It seems the ending is coming much, much sooner as the final battle will be ending within this week’s Chapter 269.
It is likely going to end first before Sakamoto Days, which is looking to end within the next 2-3 chapters as well.
The author’s comment for this week is as follows:
“I vowed to finish Part 3 within a year at the latest, and it took exactly one year.”
Indeed, Act 3 would be a total of 45 chapters, which is quite close to a year’s worth of serialization.

Witch Watch is a manga written and illustrated by Kenta Shinohara (Sket Dance), former assistant of Hideaki Sorachi (Gintama), for Weekly Shōnen Jump since February 8, 2021, reaching 28 volumes as of October 2, 2026, and has sold 4 million copies as of October 5, 2025.
There are 268 chapters as of writing and is divided into 3 acts of 30 arcs, with the current and final act, Act 3: “Black and White Witches” containing two serious arcs: Bone Crisis (Chapter 225-261) and Reborn Crisis (Chapter 262-present).
Produced by Bibury Animation Studios (The Quintessential Quintuplets), the anime adaptation aired from April 6 to October 5, 2025 for 25 episodes adapting the first 98 chapters, with a second season announced for an unknown date.
The story focuses on a teenage witch, Nico Wakatsuki, and her human-like ogre familiar and childhood friend, Morihito Otogi, as they encounter different supernatural beings and problems.
