On September 6, 2025, it was announced that Witch Hat Atelier has been delayed until 2026 instead of its intended release this year.

The first trailer was released on July 5, 2024 and more than a year has passed since its release.

The key visual features the protagonist Coco with her mentor Qifrey.

Ever since the announcement of the Akane Banashi anime on August 4, 2025, many fans have been concerned about any compromises to the quality due to both works coming out close to each other and sharing the same director, Ayumu Watanabe.

With this announcement, both of Watanabe’s works will be slated for 2026.

There is no reveal of any voice actors.

The Witch Hat Atelier anime will be produced by Bug Films (Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead) and will be streamed on Crunchyroll.

Staff:
