Unnamed Memory Light Novel Series Gets Anime Adaptation In 2023
The anime adaptation will be made by studio ENGI
Kuji Furmiya’s light novel series Unnamed Memory is getting an anime adaption in 2023, announced Kadokawa.
They also released visuals and a teaser trailer, which includes staff information.
The novel’s illustrator, chibi, and manga artist Naoki Koshimizu drew a few celebratory illustrations as well:
The Staff announced for the anime so far are as follows:
- Director: Kazuya Miura, is known for Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs, and Kan Colle Season 2: Let’s Meet at Sea.
- Series Composition: Deko Akao, popular for Komi Can’t Communicate, Noragami, and The Case Study of Vanitas.
- Chibi’s Original Character Design Adaptor: Chika Nōmi, known for Kan Colle Season 2: Let’s Meet at Sea, and Kemono Michi: Rise Up.
- Music Composition: Akito Matsuda, known for Sound! Euphonium, and Liz and the Blue Bird.
As for characters, two characters’ actors have been announced.
- Oscar: Yoshiki Nakajima
- Tinasha: Atsumi Tanezaki

Furumiya began serializing the Unnamed Memory novels on the “Shōsetsuka ni Narō” website in September 2012.
in January 2019, Kadokawa began publishing the novels in print with illustrations by chibi.
The novel has been highly successful, having ranked #1 in the 2020 Edition of Takarijamasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel Is Amazing!) guidebook.
It also had a manga adaption in Kadokawa’s Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine in September 2020.
