Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 Officially Confirmed!
The After-School Hanako-kun anime short series, which finished airing in November 2023, is also receiving another 4 episodes to its name.
The official Twitter handle of Iro Aida’s Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun anime adaptation has finally confirmed, on Nov 9, 2023, that Season 2 of the beloved series is REAL!

Additionally, the After-School Hanako-kun anime short series, which finished airing in November 2023, is receiving another 4 episodes to its name.

While there is a confirmation that these 4 episodes will air in Fall 2024, there’s no such date mentioned for Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun Season 2 anime as of this writing.
It is widely speculated that the 2nd season will be a complete rehash of the 1st season, which ran from Jan-Mar 2020 as there were complaints that the 1st season omitted key plot points from the source material.
Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Iro Aida. It has been serialized in Square Enix’s magazine Monthly GFantasy since 2014. It has been collected in twenty tankōbon volumes as of August 2023. The anime premiered in Japan in January 2020 with 12 episodes while After-School Hanako-kun anime premiered on TBS on October 12, 2023.
Yen Press, which publishes the manga, describes the story as follows:
“Hanako-san, Hanako-san… are you there?” At Kamome Academy, rumors abound about the school’s Seven Mysteries, one of which is Hanako-san. Said to occupy the third stall of the third floor girls’ bathroom in the old school building, Hanako-san grants any wish when summoned. Nene Yashiro, an occult-loving high school girl who dreams of romance, ventures into this haunted bathroom… but the Hanako-san she meets there is nothing like she imagined! Kamome Academy’s Hanako-san… is a boy!
