In August 2021, Mokumokuren published the manga on Kadokawa’s Young Ace Up website.

The fourth collected book volume of the manga was released by Kadokawa in December 2023. The third volume was released by Yen Press on April 16.

Mio Nukaga adapted the manga into a light novel, which was published in December 2023.

The 16th Manga Taisho Awards received a nomination for the manga. (The awards’ official English name is “Cartoon Grand Prize.”) The manga was included in the New York Public Library’s 2023 list of Best Books for Teens.

Additionally, the manga was included in the Young Adult Library Services Association’s (YALSA) 2024 list of Great Graphic Novels for Teens by the American Library Association (ALA).

This year’s Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards have nominated both the manga and its author, Mokumokuren. Mokumokuren is nominated for Best Writer/Artist, and the manga is nominated for Best U.S. Edition of International Material—Asia.
