On 7 April 2023, the official Twitter account for The Rising Of The Shield Hero surprised its fans. The official account shared a new teaser and a key visual for season 3 of the anime.
The new season will cover The Fallen Heroes Arc of the Light novel. You can check the teaser video and Key visual below:

Season 3 was initially announced at Crunchyroll Expo 2019. The new season is scheduled to air in October 2023.261
The anime is based on Aneko Yusagi’s light novel of the same name. It was initially published as a web novel on the user-generated novel site Shosetsuka ni Naro.
The series later started its publication by Media Factory with an expanded storyline featuring illustrations by Seira Minami.
The anime’s first season aired from January 9 2019 to June 26 2019. The second season aired 13 episodes from Apr 6 2022 to June 29 2022.
Synopsis of The Rising of the Shield Hero
A young man named Naofumi is summoned to a fantasy world along with three other individuals to become legendary heroes. However, Naofumi is betrayed by one of his fellow heroes and falsely accused of a crime.
This causes him to be hated and discriminated against by the people of the kingdom. With the help of a slave girl named Raphtalia, Naofumi sets out to clear his name and save the kingdom from an impending threat.
