The One Piece CONFIRMED To Exist In Real Life?
This might be one of the biggest flexes in manga history. After over 28 years, 1,175 chapters, 114 volumes, and 600 million copies sold, One Piece and its treasure become real as Oda buries the secret in the ocean
On March 3, 2026, One Piece hinted at a massive announcement to be released at March 4th, 12 midnight Japan Time.
What is released is a video to commemorate One Piece reaching over 600 million copies sold worldwide.
This special project PV, titled “What is the ONE PIECE?”, shows clips and images of author Eiichiro Oda writing down on paper the biggest secret of the entire series.
What exactly the actual One Piece is?
For the first time in 29 years, Oda would finally put to writing what was long planned since the inception of the series, according to the narration.
In the slip of paper shown, the two questions shown for the audience are:
“What is the One Piece? What will happen to Monkey D. Luffy?”
Once this is written, Oda folds the paper and places it in a small chest resembling a chest designed by him in the One Piece series.
The chest is then placed in a pressure-resistant container resembling a Log Pose compass, which is then placed in the ocean at a sea floor depth of 651 meters.
This underwater secret will be retrieved from the ocean and revealed when the One Piece story ends.
Of note, One Piece’s circulation has a total breakdown of 450.000.000 copies in Japan and 150.000.000 copies in the rest of the world.
