Somei will perform the opening theme titled “Ureu Kado niwa Fuku Kitaru”.
On May 29, 2023, the official website for TV anime The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today shared the second PV for the show.
Alongside PV, the site also revealed that Somei will perform the opening theme titled “Ureu Kado niwa Fuku Kitaru”.
The anime will start airing on July 7 on MBS and TBS’ Anmimeism programming block.

The anime based on Hitsuji Yamada’s The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today manga, licensed by Seven Seas Entertainment.
Yamada started the serialisation of manga in Kodansha’s Suiyobi no Sirius online manga section. This is section was available on Nico Nico Seiga website.
The serialisation started on August 22018 and switched to Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius in October 2021.
Seven Seas Entertainment describethe storyline as:
When Saku took in a stray black cat, she never expected that he would become the equivalent of a housekeeping life partner.
But Yukichi, a giant cat who towers over Saku, is not your ordinary feline.
He takes great pride in his culinary skills, and a good sale at the supermarket always gets his whiskers twitching.
