On June 5, 2025, it was announced that The Dangers in My Heart will have a spinoff centered on protagonist Kyotaro Ichikawa’s sister, Kana, titled, “The Dangers in My Heart: Love Comedy ga Hajimaranai”

The story will focus on Kana and her life as a second year college student, which also includes her interactions with her fellow takoyaki shop worker, Jin, who is pivoted as her love interest.

Will her little brother be featured, maybe even help Kana deal with her love life?

The spinoff is set to begin serialization on Champion Cross or Manga Cross, the same website the original series is published, on July 22, 2025.
