On February 1, 2026, it has been confirmed that Season 3 of The Dangers in My Heart has been greenlit for production.

This could mean we will see Kyotarou Ichikawa and Anne Yamada next year in 2027, by which time the manga will have also concluded its run.

While Season 1 (2023) is 12 episodes long and covers the first 57 chapters (Volumes 1 to 4),  Season 2  (2024) covered Chapters 58 to 113 (Volumes 5 to 8).

This could mean Season 3 will be not the final season and may cover Chapters 114 to 168 (Volume 9 to 12).

Alternatively, it is possible that Season 3 could be the final season if they can integrate the last 30 or so possible chapters, as it was announced on January 8th that the series will be concluding with Volume 14.

This could mean an additional 5 or more episodes to a 12-13 episode season.

The series currently has 184 chapters, with the last two being the first chapters for the final volume.

As of January 8, 2026, the series has sold over 7 million copies worldwide.

An anime compilation film with new material will be out on February 13, 2026, the day before Valentine’s Day.
