The Culling Game Arc Begins! Break Next Week? What to Expect in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 7
The Culling Game begins with a 1:1 adaptation of the leadup to the encounter with Hiromu Higuruma.
In the previous Jujutsu Kaisen episode, while Megumi and Panda face off against Kirara, Yuji and Hakari come to an agreement to join forces for the Culling Games, just as a new player emerges, the 400-year old Hajime Kashimo.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Part 1 Episode 7 is titled, “Tokyo Colony No. 1 Part 1”

Like we stated in the previous Jujutsu Kaisen preview, Episode 7 adapts Chapter 158 (pages 1-4, 11-19; 13 pages), Chapter 160: “Colony”, Chapter 161: “Tokyo Colony No. 1, Part 1”, and Chapter 162: “Tokyo Colony No. 1, Part 2” (first 17 pages), for a total of 68 pages or 3.5 chapters worth of content.
This episode will likely begin with Hakari finding out about Gojo’s sealing, followed up by the team planning to target Kashimo and Higuruma to force them to use their 100 points to change the rules so that Tsumiki can exit from the Culling Game Colonies.
The episode will end in Page 17 of Chapter 162, where both Rin Amai and Remi point tell Yuji and Megumi respectively different directions of where Higuruma was.
As manga fans know, Yuji was the one who encountered the Sorcerer Lawyer while Megumi met with Reggie Star but the last part of Chapter 162 showing Reggie Star will not be featured and will likely appear in Episode 9.
1:1 Adaptation?
The previews released were only character shots of Megumi, Yuji, Hakari, Panda and Kenjaku yet they are drawn exactly like from the manga panels.
Some fans note this should silence those complaining about the anime not being a 1:1 adaptation of unmoving panels.
New Voices
We have four new voices.
Rin Amai, Yuji Itadori’s classmate and former henchman of Hanyu and Haba, will be voiced by Soma Saito, famous for Tadashi Yamaguchi in Haikyuu!! and Hyoma Chigiri of Blue Lock.
Remi, a Reggie Star subordinate who tries to manipulate Megumi, is voiced by Ari Ozawa, known for Xiangling in Genshin Impact
Hanyu, a modern-day player who partners with Haba and uses Rin Amai to lure weak players, is voiced by the legendary voice actress, Junyu Takeuchi, famous for being the voice of Naruto.
Hanyu’s Cursed Technique is Airplane Hair, which, as the name suggests, converts her hair into an airplane for flight.
Hanyu’s partner Haba, whose technique is Helicopter Hair, is voiced by Eiji Takemoto, known as the voice of X Drake from One Piece and Uvogin from the 1999 adaptation of Hunter x Hunter.

Once again, Shota Goshozono is proving his full creative control, storyboarding every episode since the first up until perhaps the end of Cour 1.
Takeru Sato is Gosso’s fellow episode director for Chainsaw Man Episode 8, arguably Season 1’s highest quality episode.
Sato has also directed Episode 11 of the season.
For this season, he has been involved with the opening, Aizo.
Break Next Week?
Unfortunately, Episode 8 will not air next week.
There will be a recap episode, going through the first half of Season 3 Part 1, on February 19, 2026.
This is likely due to the Olympics, which began on February 8th and will end on February 22.
Instead, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 8 will be released on February 26, 2026
