Twitter’s manga expert, @MangaMoguraRE, posted on Feb 15, 2024, That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime Franchise is standing strong worldwide in terms of sales.

It has sold over 45 million copies overall, and that includes light novels, manga, and spin-offs, both physical and digital copies.

Fans cannot wait for the franchise to hit the 50 million mark!

About That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime:

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is a Japanese fantasy light novel series written by Fuse, and illustrated by Mitz Vah.

It was serialized online from 2013 to 2016 on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. It was later acquired by Micro Magazine, which published the first light novel volume in 2014. Twenty-one volumes have been released as of October 2023.

It received a manga adaptation from Kodansha, as well as five manga spin-offs published, and an anime television series adaptation produced by Eight Bit, which ran from October 2018 to March 2019. Season 2 ran from January to September 2021, followed by an anime adaptation of the second spin-off manga from April to June 2021.

Season 3 is set to premiere in April 2024.

Crunchyroll described the overall plot of Slime as follows:

Corporate worker Mikami Satoru is stabbed by a random killer, and is reborn to an alternate world. But he turns out to be reborn a slime! Thrown into this new world with the name Rimuru, he begins his quest to create a world that’s welcoming to all races.
