Tanabata No Kuni Live-Action Drama Series Reveals Main Trailer!
Tanabata no Kuni, a live-action drama, will debut on Disney+’s Star brand in Japan on July 4, 2024.
On June 20, the official social media accounts of Disney Plus Japan shared the main trailer and a new visual for the upcoming live-action drama series adaptation of the Tanabata no Kuni manga.
“The tab line for the new visual reads: The mystery of ○○. If you touch it, you’re gouged.”

About Tanabata no Kuni:
The original manga was written and illustrated by Hitoshi Iwaaki. Tanabata no Kuni was serialized in Shogakukan’s Bog Comic Spirits from 1996 to 1999. It collected 4 tankobon volumes during its run.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around a college student named Youji Minamimaru, also known as Nanmaru.
Nanmaru possesses a mysterious superpower that can create small holes in objects.
His life takes a strange turn when a bizarre incident occurs, a person’s body is gouged out and made to disappear by a mysterious floating sphere.
Nanmaru’s university lecturer, Emi, reveals that he has a similar ability that caused the incident.
Nanmura now travels to the town of Marukawa to uncover the truth about his power and his past.
