Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online Season 2 Announces October 2024 Premiere
The anime franchise released a new trailer for the second season at the AnimeJapan stage event.
On Day 2 of the AnimeJapan 2024 stage event, a new teaser for the second season of the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online TV anime got released.
The trailer revealed that the new season will come to TV in October 2024, and the franchise also revealed the first key visual of the season.
The main cast members will return for the second season with:
- Tomori Kusunoki is playing Llenn.
- Yoko Hikasa is playing Pitohui.
- Kazuyuki Okitsu is playing M.
- Chinatsu Akaasaki is playing Fukaziroh.
The franchise has also shared new character visuals for the season.
Masayuki Sakoi will continue to direct the anime at Studio 3Hz. The new series is based on the spin-off novel of Reki Kawahara’s Sword Art Online series, written by Keeichi Sigsawa.
The first season aired from April to July 2018 for 12 episodes.

In the world of guns and steel that is Gun Gale Online, LLENN has been a devoted female solo player.
She is obsessed with two things: donning herself entirely in pink and honing her skills with consistent game play.
She soon discovers her love for hunting other players (a.k.a. PK), soon to be known as the “Pink Devil.”
Meanwhile, LLENN meets a beautiful yet mysterious player, Pitohui, and the two click right away. Doing as she is told by Pitohui, she enters the Squad Jam group battle.
