Shonen Jump Plus Now Simulpubs Aka Akasaka’s Manga Renai Daiko

Renai Daiko started it serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on April 27.

Nishizawa 5mm and Aka Akasaka’s manga Renai Daiko which started in serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump on April 27 will now receive simulpub on the Shonen Jump+ app.

Shueisha’s Young Jump magazine held auditions in 2022 for a new manga artist, with an opportunity to work with Akasaka on his new manga.

During these auditions, Nishizawa 5mm is best known for his character design for Hololive Vtuber Momosuzu Nene was chosen as the illustrator for the manga.

After working as an illustrator for Sayonara Piano Sonata, he began the serialization of the Kaguya-sama: Love is War in Shueisha’s Miracle Jump magazine.

The serialization started in May 2015 and later moved to Young Jump in March 2016.

The manga ended in November 2022 with the 28th volume in December 2022.

In April 2020, Akasaka also launched a new manga with Mengo Yokoyari titled Oshi No Ko on Jump magazine.

The manga has also been adapted into anime and started airing on April 12, 2023.

After finishing Kaguya-sama: Love is War Akasaka declared that he would no longer be working as a manga artist and would instead focus completely on writing.

In recent years, Akasaka has focused more on writing manga that other people draw, such as Oshi no Ko, which Mengo Yokoyari draws, and Renai Daiko illustrated by Nishizawa 5mm.
