Shangri-La Frontier Confirms Season 2!

Right after the finale for Shangri-La Frontier aired, the franchise announced that a second season of the anime is in the works!

Moreover, season 2 will also have two continuous cours and is scheduled to premiere this October.

Furthermore, the franchise also revealed the cast for the two key characters that were introduced in the last episode.

Kyoj is voiced by Joji Nakata, who was also the VA for Nyanta in Log Horizon.

Aramis is voiced by Hiromu Mineta, the VA of Yatora from the Blue Period.

About Shangri-La Frontier

The anime is inspired by the Japanese webnovel Shangri-La Frontier, written by Katarina. It began its serialization on the Shosetuka ni Naro website in May 2017.

Although no printed version of the novel has been released, it has received a manga adaptation illustrated by Ryosuke Fuji.

The manga has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine since July 2020.

It also won the 47th Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category in 2023.

The first season was animated by Studio C2C and ran for 25 episodes. The final episode aired on March 31, 2024.
