Sakamoto Days Celebrates 5th Anniversary with Special Projects
Sakamoto Days is hyping up its 5th anniversary with five incredible special projects.
On December 4, 2025, it was announced that Sakamoto Days will have have 5 special projects for its 5th anniversary.
These are:
- Best Bout Poll with postcard and online voting.
- LINE Stickers.
- Me & Roboco Collaboration.
- Papercraft Pistol Appendix.
- Interview & Illustration with Takehiko Inoue.
The choice of mangaka interview is quite interesting due to how differing the niches Suzuki and Inoue have, since Inoue’s current work is a basketball manga (Real). His previous works include the most famous basketball manga, Slam Dunk, and the samurai manga, Vagabond.
However, Inoue’s very first serialization is “Chameleon Jail” (1989-1990), which saw two volumes released and is about “risk hunters” who have supernatural powers, a similar concept to Sakamoto Days and their assassins being superhuman.
Sakamoto Days was originally published on November 21, 2020.
The Sakamoto Days “Best Bout” Popularity Poll participants can enter numerous lotteries for merchandise from the series.
In addition, Ren Meguro (live-action Taro Sakamoto actor), Tomokazu Sugita (voice actor of Taro Sakamoto), Tetsu Okawa (Sakamoto Holidays spinoff author), Gege Akutami (Jujutsu Kaisen creator and Modulo writer), Yuki Tabata (Black Clover), and Kohei Horikoshi (My Hero Academia) will also reveal ‘their best bout’ on future interviews.
Participants can vote up to January 13, 2026.
Results will be out on Spring 2026, with the top battles illustrated by Yuto Suzuki, along with promotional videos.
To vote for the series’ best fights, the Sakamoto Days “Best Bout” Popularity Poll can be found here.
