Saint Seiya Live Action Movie Knights Of The Zodiac Nears USD 1 Million Mark In the U.S.!

The movie adaptation of Masami Kurumada’s Saint Seiya manga, titled Knights of the Zodiac has reportedly earned an estimated US$ 920,071 in its second week at the U.S. Box Office.

The movie is being screened in 588 theatres and earned around US$ 42,000 on Friday, US$ 70,000 on Saturday, and US$$ 48,000 on Sunday.

According to Box Office Mojo, the movie’s total earnings globally are presently at $5,516,063.

The film first premiered in Brazil, Mexico, and Latin America. This was followed by openings in Japan, Kenya, and Romania on April 28. The movie then debuted in the U.S., Nigeria, and Poland on May 12.

Box Office Mojo reported on May 5th that the movie had made $1,377,754 in Mexico, $310,680 in Japan, $173,731 in Colombia, and $45,554 in Romania, bringing its estimated total opening earnings from those four nations to $2.4 million.

Toei Animation producer Yoshi Ikezawa told the news website Variety that Toei Animation is “looking at six movies as a package” for the live-action franchise. He added Toei Animation has “already started the conversation” to make sequels.
