Shocking news hit the world of One Punch Man and its fans as Tonari No Young Jump’s official site uploaded a message from author ONE and artists Yusuke Murata, announcing that the currently airing Ninja Village arc will be completely redone from scratch and reissued as new chapters in the magazine.

The creator elaborate by saying the manga will go on a short break and return with redrawn chapters of existing material. Basically, the Ninja Village arc began in Chapter 193, with Flashy Flash sparring with Saitama, recruiting him and Blast to go find a God Cube in his village where they encounter Blast’s former partner.

The last chapter Murata dropped was Chapter 202 on Feb 21, teasing Blast vs Empty Void. As fans were hyped for the upcoming matchup, they were soon disappointed to learn that they have to wait for a while before Murata reaches that point again with the redraw.

He and ONE had announced that Chapters 195-202 will be revised and replaced and that will take time before Chapter 203 drops. Both the old and revised chapters will be available in the Tonari No Young Jump website so they asked fans to have “fun” comparing them while at the same time, apologizing for the delay of chapter 203’s release to an unknown date.

Translation of the above goes as follows:

“Thank you for reading Tonari No Young Jump’s One Punch Man! Regarding the release of the latest chapter (chapter 203), we are sorry to inform you that we will take a short break in order to revise and replace all chapters starting from chapter 195. These chapters that have already been published will be included in the “Complete Manuscripts” section of the bottom of this page. We hope you will enjoy comparing how the chapters were changed before and after the revision. We are working hard to publish the latest chapter, so please wait for a while!”

However, this is not the first time Murata has redrawn existing chapters. For example, he released chapter 164 and decided to redraw in order to introduce Cosmic Garou and the entire fight with Saitama. Check out the new version here!
