On June 24, 2026, we have the first trailer for the One Piece Remake, which features the content for the East Blue Saga, beginning with Roger’s execution, Shanks giving Luffy the Straw Hat and coming across Alvida and his first friend, Koby.

After Luffy’s dynamic clash with Alvida, Axe-Hand Morgan and later Buggy, we get a glimpse of the initial Straw Hats: Roronoa Zoro, Nami, Usopp and Sanji.

Previously on June 23, they have released the key visual for the first episode, which features Luffy emerging from the barrel.

Voice Cast

It has been confirmed that Mayumi Tanaka will be returning to voice Monkey D. Luffy.

This is in spite of her own concerns about her age, asking the fans to accept whoever ends up her successor.

She is currently 71 years old and has been voicing Luffy for 27 years.

Tanaka’s full statement is as follows

“I’m Mayumi Tanaka, the voice of Monkey D. Luffy.

I’m very happy to once again take part in a new series, THE ONE PIECE, as Luffy.

While taking on a new challenge at this age brought some anxiety, the experience itself has been full of new insights. It has truly renewed my spirit in portraying Luffy.

I thoroughly enjoyed the recording process, and I hope lots of people around the world will watch and enjoy the series.

The show is set to premiere in February 2027, so please look forward to it!”
