One Piece To Celebrate Elbaph Arc’s Popularity
One Piece will have a color spread and magazine cover to celebrate the Elbaph Arc’s popularity, coinciding with news of One Piece reclaiming its top spot as the best-selling manga of the year.
On November 13, 2025, it was announced that One Piece will be drawing the lead color page and the magazine cover for Issue No. 52 of Weekly Shonen Jump to be released on November 24, 2025.
The reasoning for this is because of the Elbaph Arc’s popularity.
This comes amidst claims of some Japanese fans being dissatisfied with the Elbaph Arc.
One Twitter user, sugoi_kaizen, made a tweet that reached over 5 million impressions within a day, said that:
“It looks like the editor isn’t functioning anymore. Paneling and artwork that fail to convey even a single image from the author’s mind to the readers. Is it that Mr. Oda has been so overly deified that no one can say anything?
Although sales for One Piece in general have been in decline, Oricon has declared One Piece the best-selling manga of 2025, beating Jujutsu Kaisen, which was the previous year’s contender.
Additionally, the preview for the next chapter, Chapter 1166, is as follows:
“As a brutal past is brought to light, what will happen to the world…!?”
One Piece Chapter 1166 will be released on November 24, 2025.
