One Piece Hints at a Special Announcement and Elbaph Arc Preview on October 10
Alongside an Elbaph Arc tease, One Piece might have a special announcement. Is it time for a new movie?

On September 29, 2025, it was revealed that One Piece will have a special announcement during the New York Comic Con held on October 10 at 12:45 PM (EDT).
Additionally, the official One Piece account has hinted that there will be a sneak peek of the anime adaptation of the Elbaph Arc on the same day at Toei Animation’s One Piece panel.
The Egghead Arc is already in its climax with Episode 1145: “Friends Fight Together! Luffy and the Warriors of Elbaph” having adapted Chapter 1111: “Sun-Shield”, meaning there are 14 episodes left for the arc.
This could also confirm that the One Piece anime will not be on break this year, unlike last year with the startling announcement of One Piece’s 6-month hiatus.
The previous One Piece movie, Film: Red, was announced on November 21, 2021 following the release of the anime’s 1000th episode and was released in theaters on August 6, 2022, with a July 22 premiere in Tokyo.
One Piece: Stampede, the film before Film Red, was released on August 9, 2019, 3 years before Film: Red.
This could mean that a movie is bound to be announced this year, whether in New York Comic Con or in Jump Festa.
