One Piece: Fan Letter is the Number 2 Anime in MyAnimeList
A One Piece Special Episode surpasses ordinary anime and even the main series itself.
Only after a day since its October 20 release, the One Piece: Fan Letter short film has received much praise from the fandom and anime community at large that it has reached the Number Two spot in the MyAnimeList website, a spot previously held by “Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood” (the original Top 1) since 2023.
With a score of 9.26 from over 20,000 members as of writing this, the 24-minute special episode is second place next to “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End”, the top contender that emerged on October 2023 and has overtaken “Attack on Titan: The Final Season – The Final Chapters” as the top special episode of MyAnimeList.
Megumi Ishitani’s adaptation of the One Piece Straw Hat stories novel was released on October 20, 2024 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the One Piece anime.
The MyAnimeList website is a forum of discussion to curate and review anime and manga.
Among its top 10 are shows such as Steins;Gate, Attack on Titan, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War, Gintama, and Hunter x Hunter.
The One Piece anime celebrates its 25th anniversary since its first broadcast on October 20, 1999.
