During Jump Fesa ‘24, the One Piece franchise announced the remake of the anime by Studio WIT.

Although many welcomed the new remake, some were not so happy with it.

Many fans expressed their worries about how this remake would impact the current anime team at Toei Animations.

The main concern of these fans is that a new, better-paced anime might overshadow the work that the original team at Toei put forward.

One staff member of the current One Piece anime team also expressed this emotion in a tweet, stating,

“What will be the new remake of the anime currently on the air? I feel a little sad that the value of the animation that has been accumulated up to now may diminish.”
