One Piece and Detective Conan Catch Up To Each Other
After 1137 chapters, two of the longest, most profitable series have finally caught up to each other.

As of today, January 27, 2025, both One Piece and Detective Conan have reached Chapter 1137.

Both series have been neck-in-neck in terms of chapter count.
Detective Conan began on January 5, 1994 while One Piece started on July 22, 1997, with both holding the record as among some of the longest-running manga in world history.
As of writing, One Piece has 110 volumes while Detective Conan has 106.
A high seas adventure, One Piece is written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda for Shueisha’s Shonen Jump and has since sold over 516 million copies in circulation, the biggest-selling manga of all time.
Meanwhile, Detective Conan or Case Closed is written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama for Shogakukan’s Weekly Shōnen Sunday and has sold over 270 million copies in circulation, making it the fourth biggest-selling manga of all time.
This is the story of high school detective Shinichi Kudo, who was shrunk into an elementary school-age child and investigates many cases on his trail for the organization responsible for his own predicament.
Prior to Detective Conan, Aoyama has also written Yaiba from 1988 to 1993, which sold 17 million copies as of May 2024.
Ever since August 29, 2022, One Piece has been on its Final Saga while Detective Conan has not declared any final arc.
