NEW Bleach Novel Incoming

Looks like another elaborate April Fools’ joke came true as a new Bleach novel drops, this time departing from the actual story and lore and making everyone into high school delinquents.

On December 21, 2025 at Jump Festa 2026, alongside the trailer of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War’s final cour, a new Bleach light novel was announced, titled “DON’T BLEACH MY FIST” by Ryohgo Narita, the author of “Bleach: Spirits Are Forever With You” (2012) and “Bleach: Can’t Fear Your Own World” (2017-2018), the latter book containing some details that were included in the Thousand Year Blood War adaptation, such as some of the lore behind the Soul King.

This was first hinted at on April 1st, when Bleach author Tite Kubo posted what appeared to be an April Fool’s joke but might have garnered enough support to be real or was already planned from the start to be released.

With the announcement came a key visual featuring Ichigo, Renji and the main male cast in school uniforms, hinting that this will be either focus on a parallel world high school life for Ichigo Kurosaki with Renji Abarai, Toshiro Hitsugaya, Ikkaku Madarame, Byakuya Kuchiki, Kensei Muguruma, and surprisingly, Gin Ichimaru and a man with glasses who resembles Sosuke Aizen, disguised as high school delinquents and without any of the larger than life lore.

The illustration was based on the “Bleach: The High School Warfare” in 2023, which was also an April Fool’s joke in the form of a visual game, showing illustrations of the Gotei 13 male and female characters, Espada, and Sternritter as delinquent gangs.

A preview will be released on Kubo’s website, Klub Outside, before the official release!

Additionally, in Japan, likely to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bleach’s ending, all 74 volumes of Bleach can be viewed online for free from January 1st to 7th via LINE Manga and Ebookjapan apps.
